American Sniper - Might want to prepare yourself if you ever see this movie because man, does it get pretty heavy. Definitely wasn't expecting to see some of the things they showed on screen, although the movie was better for it.
Bradley Cooper did a pretty phenomenal job as Chris Kyle. He obviously put in some major work prepping for this role because he was massive. I didn't realize until the end of the movie how similar they actually looked, so props for that too.
Speaking of the ending, I don't know if I'll see a movie with a more awkward theater-leaving experience than this one. Even though I just seen it today so it wasn't a packed theater, it still had that effect where it was just a strange silence throughout. It was almost an uncomfortable feeling to even begin speaking about the movie afterwards. Really weird.
Very good movie though. I look forward to watching it again. My only issue is there's one moment where they kind of break the tone of the movieSpoilerthe use of the slo-mo close up during the killing of The ButcherOriginally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Top Money Making Flicks of 2014
Quite surprised Transformers: AoE was #1 and by a wide margin. Thought it was above average. Would have guessed Guardians of the Galaxy.
Saw all of them except Interstellar.Comment

Agreed. I was expecting it to be horrible after the bad reviews, so I went into it with low expectations, but it was solid and entertaining. As usual, almost every Liam Neeson movie is solid. His movies never usually blow me away as some masterpiece, but I can't think of a single movie of his that I didn't like.Comment

Beautiful film, the animation was great. I personally liked the 1st one better but this one was very enjoyable and warm hearted.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
It's only well known to those who know it well, but I wouldn't call it common knowledge. Thanks for your consideration. Not everyone would do so.
Hector and the Search for Happiness - I think you will be pleasantly surprised by this. This is a Simon Pegg sort of movie (sorry to say, he's just not a good Scotty, you Trekkies out there). This takes some interesting twists and turns and has very cool transitions between scenes. Good couples movie.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I remember Emily Browning in A Series of Unfortunate Events, and thought that this cute little girl will blossom into a beautiful young woman. Then years later I saw her in The Uninvited, and the only thing to my dismay is she was like an Ellen Page in that she is more like a grown child. She never really did that "blossoming" that I hope she would, which is too bad. Then I saw her in Sucker Punch, and sadly the entire film was terrible but I also just didn't like her as a blonde.
Still kept a cute face, though. That's probably what matters most. And great eyes. Good call on dibs.
