Ok, I finally gave The Lego Movie a try, simply because of comments from this thread. Color me pleasantly surprised, which I really shouldn't be surprised. I will have to watch this again just to catch those lines that flew by at times. The voices chosen for each character were perfect.

I was at my friend's house and Borat was on TV so I convinced him to watch it. It's absolutely hilarious and I'm surprised that most of the scenes are real.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty ('13) - I avoided this one like the plague because of Sean Penn having a part in it, but then was talked into watching it. Was glad I did. Extremely clever transitions between the real world and his fantasy life. The payoff scene in the LIFE building was great too. And I can screen out the Penn role in my mind. I'm enticed to see the original now.

How's the chemistry between Stiller and Wiig?

Girlfriend and I turned this off halfway through. Thought it was pretty awful.

It's adequate....nothing over the top. The SNL who plays his sister I think is miscast, though she's great in other things. However, it's not a deal breaker. It's not like it's any kind of over the top performance by her.

I thought I was going to end up doing this when Penn showed up.

I saw Annabelle the other night and I had heard people say they were letdown by it compared to The Conjuring but boy do I disagree. My fiance and I both thought it was very well done and very scary. I particularly like the scene earlier in the movie where the camera catches the couple next door and what happens then... No spoiler so that's all I'll say...

Wow... Glad I used some PSN credit and purchased this...

                      Whiplash

Holy ****, what a ****in great movie. It's about a jazz drummer (Miles Teller) playing in new yorks top music school for a tyrannt teacher (J.K Simmons) and having the teacher bring out the best in his students but through very intense, derogatory ways.

J.K. Simmons plays the biggest ******* of all time in any movie. He makes Sgt Hartman from Full Metal Jacket look like a mouse. I haven't seen all the Oscar buzz movies but I just can't imagine anyone giving a better performance than he did. I seriously laughed out loud how terrible he was but he got the best out of his students.

Miles Teller, man he is an up and coming star in Hollywood. I never seen a character so competitive in my life. More than any sports movie/war movie that I ever seen and its about music. The transformation from the beginning to the end was fantastic. I can't wait to see how he does in Fantastic Four, i'm a big fan now.

This kid had the fire and he was abused throughout the whole movie and you really felt for him but he kept pushing and pushing. It was amazing to watch.

Music was fantastic, it had to be some of the best in New York playing in the movie. This movie was such a roller coaster ride of emotion I'm just starting to come down from it. I'm actually gonna watch it again after I write this review after I calmed down from that amazing ending. Best movie of 2014 for me and actually one of the best movies I've seen in a long time.

I'll have to give it some time to process but I'm thinking top 10 or 20 of all time movies for me.

Probably same as many people's including myself, his constant political pro communist tirades. Hugo Chavez and that whole thing pretty much was the last straw for a lot of folks..

Doesn't take away from the fact that he's a great actor.

Agreed. Tom Cruise is a nut but I still like many of his movies, as another example.

The list of actors, musicians, and athletes I would actually like on some personal level is probably minute.
