Rented "Taking Chance".

Simply the story of a Marine (Chance) who is killed in Iraq and escorted to his final resting place. Kevin Bacon was the star. Absolutely loved it and shed a few tears. No politics involved, wonderful movie. Was an HBO Special, but I had never heard of it before.

daf, /I saw it and liked it. the one thing that I found strange was the scene where the guys found the SAS unit in the desert and they knew how to use the sniper rifle. hmm, I dont know if exploxsive experts would know a lot about sniping.

There are a lot of guys who take it upon themselves to learn the basics of a lot of different weapons. Besides, it's not as if he was very proficient at it, he took a lot of shots.

If you were a fan and still have it on you, I recommend you re-watch it in Maximum Movie Mode. It will give you a better grasp on how Snyder stayed very loyal to the source material and is a great feature that most studios should be taking advantage of with these kinds of Blu-ray disc capabilities.

unfortunately I do not still have it, a friend was visiting from out of town and he brought it with him.

Watched The Express last night about Ernie Davis who was the 1st black person to win the Heisman. It was a really good film with some good football scenes. I wasn't very familiar with the story but it was very well made. The guy who played Ernie Davis and Jim Brown did a fantastic job and Dennis Quaid was solid as the Syracuse coach.

It's a must watch although I've read it wasn't 100% accurate.

I saw that, too when it first aired on HBO. Excellent! Also, I really enjoyed The Soloist. True story about homeless man in LA who is a Julliard alumn and a journalist does a story on him. Jim416, you'd appreciate it.

Ninja Scroll, for someone who enjoys anime every so often, it one i just finally saw tonight. Maybe it's because its 16+ years old, but i don't understand the cult following it had/has. It was a fine movie i guess with tons of blood and action, but it had so many plot holes or flaws better yet.

I saw Sword of the Stranger a year ago and to me that blew this out the water, but then again; anime has come along way since 93 right

Bruno- Wow...i just don't know what to say about this movie. I saw Borat and actually enjoyed it, this on the other hand was just plain ridiculous. I'm was awed that they showed his penis without any sort of censorship. But i'm not going to lie; i laughed like a maniac. Pretty short movie though

Finally saw Up. Awesome Pixar movie...one of the best. Easy 9/10 Will be a must own on blu ray.

I'll do a more in depth review but I watched When Worlds Collide (1951) tonight. It's a pretty good but rather straightforward movie.

That's a good one though my favorite "young" Brando film is On the Waterfront. (1954) The politics of the movie don't work today but Brando and Lee J. Cobb are EXCELLENT. Karl Malden is no slouch either.

If you've never seen it I highly recommend it to you.
