LMAO holy crap I just googled him and he is the guitarist who I saw last year touring with Guns N Roses (Aka Axl Rose + some random dudes). Chicks love a rock star I guess.

Anyway back on topic. I watch a movie called Once Were Warriors last night:

It's pretty old now but is still one of the most brutal movies I have ever seen. It is set in New Zealand and it follows the story of an ex con called Jake who is this badass Maori guy trying to get his life back together. A very powerful film with some great performances.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. This was all kinds of awesomeness. Enjoyed it from start to finish.

Eagle Eye. Felt like a sci-fi version of Enemy of the Sate. Decent action flick.... kept me entertained.

Somewhere Michael Imperioli is watching .... in his "man clothes"!!

Tried to get into Hall Pass...... turned it off. Had it's moments, just wasn't in the mood for something like it.

I've been lagging with movies I've seen, but I just saw this today, too. My friend, who knows what kind of movies I like, told me that he liked it but I wouldn't, and I should stay away from it. Boy, was he a *******. This is perhaps the best relationship movie I've seen in a long, long time. The script was phenomenal, the cast was top-notch, the sequencing was beyond amazing, and it made me smile from ear to ear very often.

          X-Men: First Class
          Super 8
          Knight and Day

Again, lagging behind on my impressions and reviews. Maybe I'll do these ones later.

Just finished up Zombieland. It was a decent flick; the Bill Murray stuff was really good.

Watched The Tillman Story last night. Thought it was pretty good, and I learned some things about the whole Tillman situation I didn't know before.

                  White Noise 2: The Light

I saw White Noise with Michael Keaton when it came out in theaters. I remember bits and pieces of it, but watching this sequel, I can't exactly remember if the same "rules" applied when it came to the main character's overall paranoia.

Although I do know that, if you haven't seen the first one, no need to if you want to jump right to this one for some reason. It's not exactly a sequel, it's more of another interpretation of a White Noise film. In other words, there aren't any character or timeline connections whatsoever.

Anyway, the weakness with both of these films are that they start out grounded into a familiar reality, with some spooky things happening here and there. Though, once it reaches the third act, it becomes a bit too phantasmal for my liking. The scares are gone, the main character becomes too schizo, and you're just wondering where the ending is supposed to go from there.

From what I remember about the first movie, this one differs mostly in a way that the main character can personally experience electronic voice phenomena in real time, which is obviously a supernatural element in itself (and lent itself room for a religious subplot, which could make or break the movie for some). It allowed them to take a bit of a Final Destination approach, minus the gore. I think story of the first movie worked better for a film of this type, and this installment definitely had second-rate production quality attached to it. No wonder they skipped right over the theater run and went straight to home video with it.

I want to watch the first movie again, and see where the comparisons lie and whether it was as average as I remember it. I think the first two-thirds of these films are pretty compelling, and they lose me when they want to explain the film more than most of the characters seem to understand.

I think that is a perfect example of a movie that didn't need a sequel and still one got made. Thanks for the review.

The Sasquatch Gang- Funny movie. It was produced by the same guys who produced Napolean Dynomite so there are some similarities. Justin Long's character was hilarious and every scene he was in was gold. I would recommend.

The Slammin' Salmon-Another film from Broken Lizard. It was funny more often then not. Not as funny as Super Troopers but still a solid comedy. The addition of Michael Duncan as the retired heavy-weight champion boxer who owns the resteraunt was great. If you liked Beerfest and Super Troopers I would watch it.

The Adjustment Bureau. Pretty decent movie...ran a little long. Love story + sci fi elements + action sequences. A big Matt Damon fan and he was good in his role.

                              I'd watch it again.
