This is one of the best looking movies I've ever seen. In fact at one point I said "this better get an award for something" so I paused it and looked it up.
Storywise it was different than expected. More misleading trailers. Unlike every other mislead I did enjoy it eventually. Took about 40 minutes but it's 2 hours and 10 minutes so overall good stuff.Comment

FOOD Inc.
Pretty damn good documentary on the American food industry and pretty disgusting and eye opening as well. Lots of good stuff here.
Might not eat a burger for a week now...
I just DVR'd "The World According To Monsanto" and that too is supposed to be a good doc on genetically altered food and how the American public does not know what they are really buying. Will let ya know how that is when I watch it.Comment

Drive
I REALLY liked this film.
I stated in the "Drive" thread....but it could have been here.....whoever said this movie was much like To Live and Die in L.A. was spot on. Good call.
....and the girl in the movie is adorable! Kind of a blonde Katie Holmes little sister.
Gosling was solid in the film and really surprised me. I like him as an actor...but he was a notch above as this pretty "quiet man" type.
Loved the cars in his bosses shop!
I want that RoadRunner he was pulling the carb out of.

Originally posted by tony greyThe last movie I watched was Johnny English Reborn it was a best comedy movie and Rowan Atkinson was back in action.
Good lord is George Lucas that money hungry? Did he really just re-release those lame newer star wars again in 3D?

I saw Papillon (1973, with Steve McQueen, Dustin Hoffman) yesterday. Today I saw Same Time, Next Year (1978, with Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn). Great movies, I really like those good old movies. There was an atmosphere that doesn't exist anymore, and also those movies seem so mature compared to what I'm used to see these days.My Specs:

GPU: Monochrome display

Three Musketeers: 6.5
I was really sort of bored towards the second half of the movie. It was actually pretty bad, the story was TERRIBLE and the cast was pretty forgettable. I understand they were going for a light hearted movie i.e no blood in the movie at all after people get cut etc, but wow was it sub-par.
It's the typical summer movie but without a real known cast and a horrible storyComment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Well it's based on actual historical speculation so they weren't really selling anything. Think it was a way of making more people aware of it/look into it and decide themselves. I did look into it and nothing implied the way things happend in the movie for either plot point but the overall stories were there for both.Comment
