I just watched Book of Eli today. I enjoyed it a lot. For some reason, I didn't see that little twist at the end coming at all.

I've fallen asleep twice trying to get through Wonderlust. I think it's a sign.
Seen bits and pieces of Battleship and the last half twice in the past week.
Just a fun blow stuff up movie. Expect anything more and you'll be disappointed.Comment

Just watched Side Effects. Very fascinating movie, and very Soderbergh. Without giving too much away, he didn't leave any loose ends, but did take things to a point where I just had to laugh at the absurdity. Take that moment out, and it was great.

Wow.
Wow.
Finally watched End of Watch after waiting for so long.
Loved it. Every single part of it.
How Jake and Pena didn't get any recognition for this movie is criminal.
The camera views were tight and very "video game" like.Charger Fan Born and Raised!

Compliance
This movie was meaningless. Don't waste your time.

What was the caller's motive? What's the point of him pretending to be a cop? It would make sense if he benefited something out of the prank but he didn't.Comment

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Finished watching Skyfall last night. I fell sleep halfway through when I was watching it last week. It was really good, but not quite as good as Casino Royale. The movie itself was beautiful with the way it was shot and I love Daniel Craig as Bond, I just didn't like that this one seems to be detached from the story that was carried on throughout Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
I also just finished watching Pulp Fiction for the first time ever. Wow, what a ****ing crazy movie. I loved it. So many of the performances were just insanely good. Sam Jackson, Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Harvey Keitel had me hooked. It's definitely not like any typical movie I've seen with the way the story plays out and how it's paced. Actually, it kind of reminded me of Natural Born Killers (and I wasn't really a fan of that). I definitely think I need to watch the rest of Tarantino's movies after seeing this.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. The definitive film of the 90's, quite possibly. Glad you liked it! I didn't quite know what the hell to make of it on first viewing. I saw it near release and it was a shock to me; I didn't know if I should laugh or not. Ever since then, I laugh my *** off at all the dark humor.

So many damn lines to quote from this.

And the ending was just so good with how it wasSpoilerinterconnected to the first scene (plus Vincent avoiding the hold-up by taking a **** after it was shown he died in the previous story because he took a **** was hilarious)
I'm thinking the next Tarantino movie I'm going to watch is Reservoir Dogs.Last edited by BlueNGold; 02-26-2013, 11:51 AM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
I kind of lost interest with Butch's story at first, but holy **** did it take a crazy turn.

Kill Bill obviously.
Jackie Brown is probably his most underrated film, but I really enjoy it. Plus, Pam Grier = mmhmm.
Inglorious Basterds' tone is departure from his previous films, though, I guess it really started with Kill Bill.
Oh yeah, can't forget Death Proof either!

I loved True Romance. It had holes, but I think that was because they didn't let hil direct it since he was still unproven. I'd love to see him do it the way he wanted it.

Throw True Romance in there, too.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?
Its not as good as his others, but its fun. I think it would have fit better at the beginning of Grindhouse and then end the night with the action-packed Planet Terror than the other way around like they did for the release.
