I just watched Book of Eli today. I enjoyed it a lot. For some reason, I didn't see that little twist at the end coming at all.

I've fallen asleep twice trying to get through Wonderlust. I think it's a sign.

Seen bits and pieces of Battleship and the last half twice in the past week.

Just a fun blow stuff up movie. Expect anything more and you'll be disappointed.

Just watched Side Effects. Very fascinating movie, and very Soderbergh. Without giving too much away, he didn't leave any loose ends, but did take things to a point where I just had to laugh at the absurdity. Take that moment out, and it was great.

          Wow.
          Wow.

Finally watched End of Watch after waiting for so long.

Loved it. Every single part of it.

How Jake and Pena didn't get any recognition for this movie is criminal.

The camera views were tight and very "video game" like.

            Compliance

This movie was meaningless. Don't waste your time.

Re: What movies have you seen recently?

Finished watching Skyfall last night. I fell sleep halfway through when I was watching it last week. It was really good, but not quite as good as Casino Royale. The movie itself was beautiful with the way it was shot and I love Daniel Craig as Bond, I just didn't like that this one seems to be detached from the story that was carried on throughout Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.

I also just finished watching Pulp Fiction for the first time ever. Wow, what a ****ing crazy movie. I loved it. So many of the performances were just insanely good. Sam Jackson, Travolta, Uma Thurman, and Harvey Keitel had me hooked. It's definitely not like any typical movie I've seen with the way the story plays out and how it's paced. Actually, it kind of reminded me of Natural Born Killers (and I wasn't really a fan of that). I definitely think I need to watch the rest of Tarantino's movies after seeing this.

The definitive film of the 90's, quite possibly. Glad you liked it! I didn't quite know what the hell to make of it on first viewing. I saw it near release and it was a shock to me; I didn't know if I should laugh or not. Ever since then, I laugh my *** off at all the dark humor.

'Inglorious Basterds' is probably my overall favorite Tarantino film (haven't seen Django yet).

The first "story" is just so good. I could watch "the date" and still think that movie is pretty great, but then The Watch comes into play and Walken talking about hiding stuff up his *** is just superb.

So many damn lines to quote from this.

I kind of lost interest with Butch's story at first, but holy **** did it take a crazy turn.

And the ending was just so good with how it was

I'm thinking the next Tarantino movie I'm going to watch is Reservoir Dogs.

Throw True Romance in there, too.

                        Kill Bill obviously.
Jackie Brown is probably his most underrated film, but I really enjoy it. Plus, Pam Grier = mmhmm.

Inglorious Basterds' tone is departure from his previous films, though, I guess it really started with Kill Bill.

Oh yeah, can't forget Death Proof either!

I loved True Romance. It had holes, but I think that was because they didn't let hil direct it since he was still unproven. I'd love to see him do it the way he wanted it.

Agree with all this...but Death Proof was not that great to me. Only reason I didn't quit on it was my love for Rosario Dawson lol.

Its not as good as his others, but its fun. I think it would have fit better at the beginning of Grindhouse and then end the night with the action-packed Planet Terror than the other way around like they did for the release.

Had to rewatch Red Cliff. Fantastic epic.

If you've read/played romance of the three kingdoms or played any dynasty warriors games you're already familiar with the characters. Love this movie.
