22 Jump Street - Not bad. Magic Mike & Jonah Hill have pretty good chemistry. I could have used w/o Ice Cube over-acting as usual but
    Spoiler

Think Like a Man Too - I get a strange sense of enjoyment when I watch a movie that I know will suck and it does actually suck. I don't mind Kevin Hart that much but I cannot stand Michael Ealey and his sensitive guy routine. I've despised his acting since Barbershop.

The Class of '92 - Soccer documentary about the most famous English academy youth products that graduated into the 1st team together (Beckham, Giggs, Scholes, Butt, Neville Bros.) Pretty good soccer doc but you have to be into the sport to probably know the relevance and importance of it.

Lol it wasn't nearly as bad as Twilight even though this movie only exists because of Twilight. You get to see a nude girl for half the movie. Can't really complain about that.

So I'm going to leave the comfort of my home and spend money on gas, food, tickets, and whatever else to go see a nude girl for an hour or so? What?

Kingsman. A ridiculous, and ridiculously fun, completely over the top spy/action movie. Colin Firth is awesome in it. Turn off your brain and have a great time.

I wouldn't see this movie by myself but if your SO wants to see it. I see it as a win/win.

The Yakuza (1974): Do yourself a favor and WATCH THIS MOVIE! One of the best West Meets East films ever made and one that explores the notions of obligation, duty, honor and keeping promises. The movie is a bit too complex to get into but the simple outline is that Robert Mitchum is asked by his friend who was doing dealings with the Yakuza and crossed them. His daughter is kidnapped and Mitchum must rescue her. There are complications as Mitchum is haunted by an old flame from the war which will form the basis for the crux of the REAL story of the film.

It's a little bit of a slow movie at times but it's well worth it as the dialogue is quite good and the character development is top notch. Check out the sword fights as well as they're EXCELLENT, especially the climax.

                      5 out of 5 stars.

Much better than Eagle Eye. It doesn't take itself seriously at all, which is why it's so fun. It's directed by Matthew Vaughn who did Kick *** and is kind of the Kick *** of spy movies. It also very much deserves the R rating it got, but in the best of ways.

Nice, I was going to ask about any connections to Kick-*** in tone as well. I just thought those other two movies had that level of ridiculousness plot-wise that would correlate best to the movie type that it is.

Re-watched Star Trek (2009) - So many things well done in this movie, though I had my gripes. However, the core members really carry it well. I wasn't a Heroes watcher, so when Quinto showed up as Spock I was pleasantly surprised. Zoe as Uhura I can take, but I was already getting my fill of her. I think you needed someone more curvaceous there. Urban as Bones is just spot on from the word go. I also liked the way they worked in some "Shatnerian" looks for Pine in some of the fight scenes especially. The opening does an amazing job of laying ground work for the rest of the movie in such an efficient time frame. I can't say I was crazy with Bana as the Romulan commander. I don't think you show up suddenly on your enemy in such an imposing vessel and your first word on the comm screen is "hello." But he was serviceable. I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Simon Pegg as Scotty (they need to ditch his sidekick), but the guy I would have chosen, hands down, was Angus McFadyen, who you know from Braveheart and more recently, the AMC's "Turn"

Finishing with casting, it was hard to think of Winona Ryder as Spock's mom. And Tyler Perry was probably complaining that it wasn't named "Tyler Perry's Star Trek", especially since he was an admiral!

The thing this time around was the set designs of the Federation ships. I couldn't imagine the time and detail that went into those alone. And it's good to see that vehicles of the future still rely on water based radiators! All in all it's such a good ride.
