Re: Disney/Pixar Toy Story 3
The first two are in no way, shape, or form, Disney movies (heck, I'd say its a crime to call any Pixar movie, even post acquisition, a Disney movie). At least Disney now owns Pixar, but back when Toy Story 1/2 came out, all Disney did was handle the marketing and distribution.Comment

Re: Toy Story 3
I did take my son to see it, he's 21 months old and sat there better than some adults.
I was very proud of him, and he completely loved it as did my wife and I.
Spoiler
I can admit I fought back tears as much as I could at the ending. It was very sad, very emotional. In a good way though. I pictured my son growing up, then remembered growing up myself and giving up my toys. When Andy drove away and said "Thanks guys", I lost it. Thank God the credits showed more scenes so I didn't have to have the lights on with tears flowing. Luckily as well, seemed every other adult in the theater was crying as well.
Fantastic ending to the trilogy, at this point, it's my favorite trilogy of all time. Has it all, can watch it as a family, it's emotional, funny, and just an enjoyable series of films that will hold dear to my heart the rest of my life. Glad I got to enjoy all 3 with my Son and got to take him to the 3rd one.

SpoilerI completely agree with your text in the spoiler EG. All my childhood memories flooded back at the end, and both myself and my girlfriend sat there completely teary-eyed. And this is also my favorite trilogy of all-time. I'm anxiously awaiting what I hope will be a bluray set once they decide to release part three. I've held off on buying the individual releases for this reason alone.Comment

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.Comment

Yeah
Spoiler
His shirt gave it away, and then confirmed in the credits. Same person who played Sid in TS1 played him in 3 as well.

SpoilerLol yup! I saw they did that with a lot of the characters. Pretty damn cool if you ask me, and seems like something only Disney/Pixar could pull off.Comment

Re: Toy Story 3
That was such a great movie and I would be hard pressed to say which one I liked best of the three.
SpoilerI KNEW that movie was sad, now I feel vindicated! I thought maybe I was being overly emotional since no one I went with said anything about it being sad after we left, but I'll admit my eyes got a little watery. Good to see others thinking the same thing.
It had a good ending and I thought they did a great job of balancing the fairytale ending with the emotional/heart breaking ending. I think my favorite scene in the movie was when they accepted their fate and held onto to each other as they were making their way down to the furnace.
For me, the movie invoked a lot of memories about my childhood, growing up, and leaving different stages of your life behind. That message hit home since I'm going through one of those stages currently. Good stuff either way.

Re: Disney/Pixar Toy Story 3
SpoilerFirst time I ever cried during a movie. During the beginning and end I just lost it. Too many memories coming back and I couldn't hold it. My shirt was soaked in tears and I was on the verge of blubbering out loud. Thank God for the 3D glasses.Note to self: BUY MADDEN 12*
*there are considerable franchise upgrades
