Not sure how you really make another Lion King unless it follows a similar theme and Pixar isn't interested in following what the majority would expect from a particular sequel.

I think that film should stay as is. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if someone down the line decides to remake Lion King, but I hope it isn't anytime soon.

Just watched this with the wife and kid last night. I was teary eyed throughout the beginning and end, but the part that got me the most was:

That scene hit me as well. Nothing but silence in the theaters. I'm convinced everyone was trying to hold back tears.

I can't remember the last time I had to choke back a cry when watching a film.

My wife is picking up the Combo pak as we speak, really looking forward to watching this again. I took my 2 year old over the summer to see this but he was good up until the last 15 min, then started getting restless. So I never felt the effect of the ending.

I really enjoyed this one. It's not as good as the first two, but that is expecting ALOT, because how do you improve on perfection? Though it was a fitting way to end the story, at least I hope it's the end.

#1 was awesome. #2 was okay. #3 was perfect.

I don't believe it's arguable that #3 was the best. I've never been driven to near tears from an animation movie.

We'll watch it again this weekend...but neither my wife or I were teary eyed or welled up with sadness.

Other Pixar movies have made me emotional (Finding Nemo tops the list as I have a young son), but Toy Story 3 as just sweet. Sure it's sad,

I was just happy at the end, not depressingly sad like so many here and elsewhere.

A very good movie overall, not the best Pixar, not the worst, firmly in the upper echelon, though lapped by Toy Story 2.

I actually liked #3 the least. #2 was my favorite with the #1 a very close 2nd place.
I'll still be buying it for the kids though. They loved the movie.

They were all great movies. #3 had a little sadness in it but also had one of the most emotional scenes of any movie I've watched.

I never saw the second one, and only vaguely remember the first one. I remember not really liking it as a kid, but I was only around 10 years old and so who knows what was going on in my head. I loved this movie though.

I'll say the same thing I said for the movie "Up" though, I don't see how these are kid movies as there is so much sadness at times. I have to go back and watch Wall-E(and all other pixar movies except finding nemo), as I haven't seen that yet either, but after up and ts3, I'm going to give it a shot.
