QOS leaned on and relied more on action than story due to the writer's strike. I have faith this will restore the CR level of story and dynamics, but hopefully include more elaborate action sequences from QOS. Still, my favorite scene of Craig's is housed in QOS at the Opera house.

Plus, Forster got a little tech-happy with his camera work instead of working with some standard, enduring shots. Imagine the shot of the bomb maker jumping from crane, to crane, then to rooftop; imagine that being in seven different up-close camera cuts. Not quite as breathtaking as the original shot, don't ya think?
At any rate, I have high hopes for this film, and expect it all to be a blend of the previous two films when it comes to style, pace, characterization, etc.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Bond 23
Even QOS action scenes were far inferior, in my opinion. In CR, the action scenes happened to also blend with the story well. In other words, it was almost something that you could write in the screenplay through and through with extreme detail, as opposed to QOS where you might have to say: "Action scene goes here." Hope that makes sense.

Re: Bond 23
I'm hoping the gadgets are kept to a minimum. Going back to a lot of gadgets would be a major step back, IMO.
Syfy and USA just played Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace opposite one another. A lot of people here are too young to get this reference, but these two movies are like Affirmed vs. Alydar for me. With Solace winning by a nose.
I hope Skyfall can be the Secretariat.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Bond 23
Wow....
This looks like it's going to be a very gritty movie but still have some of the elements that make Bond cool. This looks like it's going to be a franchise defining film IMO.
