They're having that at mine as well. But I've seen the first one plenty (plus I own it) and our school is having a Vegas Nights thing which I'm heading off to right now, so I'm going to pass up on the first one and just catch the midnight showing of the sequel.

I don't think I liked it as much as the 1st one but, It was still a pretty good movie. The villain imo was meh, just like the last one.

Worth your money but, imho the first one was better.

              Re: Iron Man 2

Wrote my impressions a few hours ago. I hope they make sense, I was pretty tired last night (I'm probably more tired now, ugh):

              http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2041035462

I want to say now that the review may sound negative. It's not that it's negative as that it's rotten, it's that there aren't any post-viewing adrenaline/hype blinders on in the way of what I truly thought about the movie (as in, stating why something maybe isn't as bad-*** as someone says it is, etc.). That doesn't mean I don't like it, it is just trying to bring it back down to realism is all. It was good, but didn't compare to the first one (and they are on different levels, as these movies were pretty different when you get down to it).

Fell asleep about 1:10 in and slept for probably 20 minutes haha. Thought it was on par with the first one, maybe a little less as the story was lame.

I thought it was great and I'm really excited for The Avengers. This might have been the best Scarlett Johansson has looked.

Just saw it. I loved it. It was more flawed than the first movie, but not in a way that affected my enjoyment at all. Looking forward to part 3, Avengers and Thor.

Good to hear people are still enjoying the movie. I'm still excited to see it - whenever that ends up happening.

Even though this movie is suffering a bit from a fantastic first movie, I'd say there is no reason not to be excited if you were a fan of the first one. All of the actors do a good job and there are plenty of laughs. I may be in the minority, but I actually liked the villains a lot more in this one than the first one. Bridges was pretty cartoony in the final act of part one. Rourke and Rockwell have better moments in this one.

                          Sam Rockwell is the man.

I still think the villains have been a weak point in this series. It looked like Whiplash had a lot of potential, but was completely mishandled (not only by the writers, but even by Hammer in the movie).

The actions scenes are great but when there is no action on screen the story drags IMO, Scarlett Johansson does look good though.

My biggest complaint with both 1 and 2, they force very lame jokes into it.
