John Lithgow was awesome in his role. I hope he gets award recognition for it. Going to be interesting to see what the writers do with the show in season 5.

Yeah I don't want to see that either. I'm going to miss Julie Benz though. Always thought she was pretty hot. Had that girl-next-door thing going on.

Finally got around to watching Season 4 of Dexter this week. Wow @ the finale. The writers do a good job of not giving away things too early on, because I really didn't see that one coming. So many questions when the show ended. No wife, 3 kids, how is he going to juggle all that along with his inner demon. Can't wait for this one to start back up. Great season.

This just dawned on me, and I might have missed someone's post about this (maybe I just need to re-watch the last episode again), but how did Rita end up back at the house? Wasn't the last time we saw her was in a cab with Harrison on their way to the airport? Again, I'm pulling this from memory of having seen the episode once last weekend. Haven't had the chance to re-watch.

If I remember correctly, she forgot her cell phone, or airline tickets, or some thing or another that led her coming back. Remember Dexter came home and listened to the message Rita left explaining how she had to come back home. Then he called her back and heard her phone was in the house, which led him to eventually find her.

Oh, that's right. I forgot about that voice message she left. I think I was too focused on what was going on and totally missed that.

Just realized no one mentioned anything about the blood on Rita's wedding dress.

My fiance called her death the whole time. I called Quinn's chick as being the shooter, but I couldn't piece together the fact that it was his daughter.

Looking back, I wonder if Rita was pointing to something...

Which epi did you see the blood on Rita's dress? I will have to go back and check that out.

End of season 3. Last scene, falls out of his cast as Dexter and Rita are dancing at the wedding.

The knew they were going to kill her off an entire season ahead of time, if not longer. Had to give her props for catching that.

Not to rain on your fiancee's parade, but the producers said they had no idea until late in Season 4.

But maybe they're lying and didn't want to disappoint Julie. I took the blood on her wedding dress as being symbolic of something deeper.
