    Re: Transformers 3

Blzer just has too much money, LOL. I can't fathom paying the price premium for anything in 3D, IMO. It's just not worth it.

[much like to us it's not worth seeing some movies in the theater when I buy them on Blu-ray, for less than the price of theater seats, six months later]

I liked Transformers 3, though I thought, and sad to say, it was a little "too much" even for a Michael Bay film. The Sub-Zero spine rip, the "blood", and another lame girlfriend and use of A-class actors in silly roles kind of killed it. Plus, it was too lo-ong.

Most definitely. It feels more natural for this film. The films that just want to do the 3D to make something pop out at the screen, aren't doing their films justice (especially when it comes to seeing it again in 2D. This was very fitting, and some scenes make it worth the extra cash (like the wing suit scene).

And JTS, you might be right haha, but the last set of movies I had seen in theaters (Fast Five, X-Men: First Class, Super 8, Kung Fu Panda, Bridesmaids, Cars 2) were all with some sort of free movie tickets, which is simply awesome. Oh, and I kept my glasses from Cars 2, bought a 2D Transformers ticket, and went into the 3D screening.

          Re: Transformers 3

Saw it in IMAX 3D. So far, only this and Avatar have been worthwhile 3D movies for me. Everything else I've seen in 3D is beyond terrible.

Visually I got what I expected and more. When the news came out that this was gonna be shot in 3D, I had extremely high expectations. I mean big *** robots beating the crap out of each other on a huge screen in 3D = success. Michael Bay did very well with it, and I'm very happy.

Personally I liked both Transformers movies before this a lot, and thought this was great too. ROTF did drag a little bit, but I felt this one was over in a heartbeat. Didn't think it was a long movie at all. Overall very happy with it and will probably see it again in IMAX. One of the most visually impressive movies ever along with Avatar. 3D was just as good as Avatar I thought.

Scandalous! I'd report you...isn't theater hopping (and stealing 3D glasses) the cardinal sins of modern movie going?

Great film all around! And Michael Bay went all out on this one...loved every second of it. Soundwave was awesome!!!!

The destruction and movie reality of this type of situation, portrayed in such a violent nature. Makes me respect his vision even more.

Great movie! Can't express that enough!

Strangely, I felt guilty about it when I took off my jacket at home and realized I accidentally pocketed the glasses, instead of dumping them off outside the theater.

If it's the cheapo Real D 3D ones it's only suggested you give them back to be recycled. One of my theaters has those and another has one that are nicer and more comfortable that you have to give back to leave the theater.

Yeah, just those cheap ones. I didn't intend to keep it anyway, but hey, why charge me more when I already have a pair of glasses?

agreed WHOLEHEARTEDLY, especially w/your breakdown. Saw it Saturday in 3D. I really loved how the movie started w/the lunar landing/tying in real history to Transformers backstory. Once those two little Transformers appeared on screen things went downhill from there. Great visual spectacle; story is incoherent in too many spots. The patented Michael Bay slo-mo/forced emotional moment stuff got old quick

Just like the 2nd movie, T3 is at least 20 minutes too long. I didn't like how Bay tried to "force" the hotness of the new blonde. I don't find her attractive so I actually missed Megan Fox in the film. Ken Jeong was great as usual.

John Malkovich's character could have been easily cut as well as all the job hunting scenes.

I liked the 3D. The Transformers series is pretty much "dumb/mindless" entertainment so I did enjoy the film for the most part.

Report: Jason Statham Will Replace Shia LaBeouf in 'Transformers 4'

Personally I would say wait 2 or 3 years and reboot the franchise with new actors and directors. Just go in a different direction with it.

Its not like he'd be "replacing" Shia as the same character. Just as the lead character in a new story since supposedly this is Bay's last Transformers film too.
