I've heard that camera-wise they are both identical. 8MP in the back and 1.9MP front facing camera. I can tell you that the camera should meet you standards. I do get some blurry pictures if there is quick movement, however, enough settings are there where you can take different types of pictures and what not.

The size will take some getting used to, especially for comfort, however I love my phone now. I am thinking of going with a holster like the good ole days though.
Thanks man. Great review. Size isn't that big of a deal for me as I always like taking my phone out whenever I sit down somewhere and leave it on the table. Also I'm used to carrying my Kindle Fire in my pocket, so this thing should be nothing compared to the OG Kindle Fire.

As for the camera, does it take quick pictures?

              Yes! Two different ways.

You can either keep pressing the camera button to take a picture, or you can use burst mode. You press and hold the button on the screen and it takes 20 shots in 5 or so seconds.

But the initial picture taking is pretty quick right? My OG Droid 2 takes about 5 seconds from the push of the take picture button before the picture is actually taken. With my 7 month old, those 5 seconds are pretty crucial as she'll normally look away after smiling for the first 2 seconds.

Also, any dislikes about it? Did you ever consider getting a different phone after you had it?

It's definitely quick. I just tried clicking on the camera app then taking a picture, all in under 3 seconds, but if you had the app open and press the shutter it will take it QUICKLY. It's not always a picture perfect pic though, sudden movements cause blur but if you constantly press it you should get a few beauties.

                  A few dislikes....

I use my phone a lot with music and such so having the HTC lockscreen widgets was a huge plus that I miss. I also play music from phone while driving, so on the HTC I just hit the lock screen and scrolled through it. However, my way around that was connecting through bluetooth which allows me to scroll through steering wheel controls. (However, sound quality was better through the cable)

Don't even bother trying to charge the phone through anything but a power outlet, it's a lost cause. It re-juices quickly through an outlet but forget about USB/Computer.

The phone takes like a second to 'wake' up when off. By off I mean, not in use. You press the side button and it takes about a second to turn on, not sure why as I am sure it is more than capable to handle it sooner.

With messaging, if you are scrolling through, and you click on a message and back out, it goes way back to the latest...a minor pet peeve. This is more of Touchwiz dislike, same with the fact that it deletes texts as you go.

Hardware wise though, it is top notch. The only thing I thought of is that the S4 is 5 months away and rumors of a game changer there....not sure how true that is.

There's always rumors of a game changer 6 months out though. Buy something now and enjoy it or you'll never get an upgrade.

Found out about this free app this weekend. Basically it'll turn Wifi on and off based on cell tower locations (much less battery drain compared to GPS location usage). Seems good to me the few days I've had it, it'll turn wifi on when I'm near home or work and connect to those hotspots.

Like the article mentions, there's probably paid apps that do similar stuff, but a free one is pretty nice.

Also, I found out that if it saves battery life to use Wifi over 4g as well, so now I'll get more battery life out of my phone at work (but I don't have to manually remember to turn wifi on and off every day).
FYI, this learned my work and home WIFI quick, so saves me from having to remember to turn it on/off myself. It's been great for my battery as well, can't complain!

There's no quick and easy way since you need to be rooted to connect them. It's not a hard process, but I wouldn't call it quick and easy either.

I'm up for an upgrade with AT&T and looking at the Galaxy S3 vs the HTC One X+.
Anyone have a good real-world comparison?
Any other phones I should give serious look to?
Any Android phones coming out in the next month or so I should wait to look at?

                            Any help is appreciated.

Well after having the 30 day exchange age from Best Buy, I exchanged like everyone new phone on the market basically just testing them and seeing which one I like the best..So Now I ended up with The Galaxy Note II, phone is awesome, love it and I love the screen size. Super fast, just a future proof o phone two with he specs under the hood and the memory.

FYI, I bought NBA2k13 for android and playing it on the Note II is really fun I tell ya. Just gaming on the Note II is sweet cause of the screen size.
