You don't have to download them. For that reason all Apps tell you what information they need to access. It's not a big deal to me, though.

Yeah I know I don't have to download them, but there's certain apps I would like to download to enhance my phone(keyboard). So I was wondering if anyone here had any problems with security on their phones. I noticed almost all apps tend to access your personal info.

I really like this phone. My only complaint is how fast the battery drains.

I have the Last.fm app on my main page and I love it. No matter where I am, I just hit play and I can hear my whole library of music. I don't have to carry my Zune and Phone around anymore. Love it.

How can you edit your SD card? I want to add some wallpapers.

I believe you just download them then point to your PHONE folder in the FILES section on the widgets screen.
That's how I did pics as a wallpaper.


Now...how do I send my music(from my download folder) to my car stereo .....streaming with bluetooth?
Can't figure it out.

I just got a Samsung Fascinate, and I'm loving it. I was going to wait until Spring, but my current phone (EnV3) wouldn't stay turned on - it would turn itself off in the middle of texting or phone calls. So I needed a new phone, and the Fascinate was $50 at Best Buy, so I went with that one. I was really concerned about using a touch screen (I'm normally not good with them, and I always had problems with my gf's Dare) so I almost went with the Droid 2, but I'm glad I didn't. Swype is awesome.

I love the Fascinate, I got it about 2 months ago it is great. I too was worried about the touch screen (former Storm owner) but I am having no problems with it. It's not perfect, but I really like it. Call quality can be iffy at times, and the battery life isn't as good as my previous phones, but that should be expected, as none of those were smart phones. Once I figured out that stuff stayed running when you pushed home, and I was leaving 9 apps running at a time, the battery got a lot better.

I really can't wait to get back on the golf course with it. There's some really cool apps on there that act as gps's, plus do other things.

I am on my 2nd EnV3, as my first one did the same stuff as yours.

When the contracts for my family's phones are up (which isnt until Jan.2012), we are switching from Verizon to Sprint. The package we are looking at the Everything Data Share Plan, which will be just as much as the Verizon bill, but we get more stuff.

Can any of you guys with Sprint compare it to Verizon??

Also, do any of you Sprint guys have the HTC EVO 4G?? When we do switch, I'm either getting that or the HTC EVO Shift 4G, which comes out next week.

My work phone is Sprint and I have a personal Verizon phone. The Coverage for Verizon is vastly superior to Sprints, When I need to make a important phone call at work, I do it on my own phone.

Flash custom ROMs and kernels
Maximize battery life
Increase performance
Eliminate bloatware
Use root-only apps + mods
Create full system image backups

I'd definitely recommend checking out xda-developers forum. It's a little intimidating but if you have a little time to do some reading and research, it's a ton of fun if you're into that kind of thing (tinkering and modding).

I too have an EVO and recently flashed Myn's Warm Two Point Two RLS5, which is one of the most popular ROMs out there right now.
