Never had a data plan on my phone before so I don't think I'm grandfathered into anything...unless I'm missing something?

Correct you will be on a tiered data plan. But if you are on wifi you are not using data. So unless you are gonna be streaming or DLing lots of stuff you should be fine especially with 4GBs for the price of 2!

I got the HTC Rezound with Beats earbuds and the phone is fantastic in 720p glory screen resolution along with the beats sound.

Lucky for me the holiday return policy for buying after the 15th of November will allow me to return this Rezound for the Nexus

But after hearing a few impressions from those that got it. It seems to be slower in bench mark scores then the rezound and not as fast overall.

thats alittle deceiving as the benchmarks werent optimized to test ICS apps and stuff. i read a review from theverge.com and he says its a beast of a phone.

Just rooted my phone last night and downloaded a free wifi Thether, works great on my wireless PC, but my Ps3 does not seem to see it, don't know why....

YES!

Extremely worth it.

Basically, you unlock the device, and have control over what's on there, and what not.

For the most part, there is some type of custom ROM for your phone. In general, the phone will run faster and smoother. All the crap that the manufacturer throws on there, will be taken off.

What kind of phone do you have?

Kinda of Ticked off right now, well I come to find out that my Photon is made with a nice think sheet of Gorilla Glass. That's not why I'm upset, thrilled about that. The thing is when I bought my phone at Best Buy I bought and had them pout on a Zagg, now I swear by GG and everything I ever owned that was made with GG with stood any type of scratches thrown its way.

Just sux that I waited my money on the Zagg, if that was the Case I would have never bought it knowing my phone had GG..

I honestly hate screen protectors, it takes away from the any device its on.

YES!

Well now I have a piece of ancient history called the LG envy 3. However, I am making the switch from Verizon to Sprint and most likely I will be getting the Motorola Photon 4G.

The only bad thing I have read about rooting is that if you delete the wrong stuff on your phone that it becomes a really expensive paperweight. Most of what I read on various forums is rooting is the way to go.

Honestly, we all are 'noobs' to start, just read, and READ, and READ.

I 'bricked' my Samsung Vibrant, but managed to un-brick it.

Everything is detailed. These guys have it down, incredibly. Ask questions. XDA forums are fantastic, broken down per phone.

In short, it is EXTREMELY difficult to turn your phone into useless paperweight.

However, great benefits.

I played with the droid razr today and i'm really tempted to dump my iPhone 4. I love the design, screen and 4g data. Especially when ICS gets ported, I might have to take the plunge. Verizon's 4g lte network is incredible.
