It might not be optimal, especially when playing fast twitch games like a FPS, but WiMax latency can be on par with DSL.

This has been a horrible release by Verizon. They have said nothing.
I've heard 11/29, 12/3, 12/22, etc.

It's pretty annoying. Supposedly Best Buy and most retailers will have the phones soon, it's all on Verizon to give the go ahead.

But you just got a 4S, can't even take advantage.

Lol I got a 4S on AT&T and I'm on wifi 97.6% of the time anyway lol.

A few Android sites have Best Buy with an on sale date of 12/11.

Yeah, all the rumors point towards Verizon stores having it on the 8th or so.

Apparently the corporate Verizon stores were picking their Galaxy Nexus SME (subject matter expert) late last week, and that usually happens a week before a phone drops.

All just rumors, but I think they've ironed out the bugs they had to fix and really do think it'll be out soon.

But I'm so down on this release. Everyday, multiple times a day checking to see if there are any updates/news on this release has me banging my head against a wall.

Oh, I agree. I just get the feeling from all the rumors that whatever issues Verizon was having are now fixed.

Honestly, if they told me the 20th (for sure, from Verizon), I could deal. I just want to know a date so it's not dragging on with failed rumor after failed rumor.
