But I don't want to have the same problem that you just had so I'll stick with the case. Phone is too expensive to be getting dinged up so early.

I felt the same way when I bought me evo on day one. I didn't want it to get scratched or dinged so I bought an innocase for it. Kept it on for maybe 3 months, took it off randomly to make sure no lint was building up our something and I was in awe of how much smaller the phone felt. Never put the case back on. It was like I had a new phone again with all the sweet features but smaller.

I do recommend the innocase though, small form factor and good feeling with many colors.

      Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

I just got the extended battery for 25 bucks (it's on sale for half off at Verizon stores for the rest of the year).

I'll let you know how the performance difference is. I wasn't having a problem with the regular one, but I was getting to 20-30% by the time I got home after work with a normal day of use on the phone (no charging all day). I'm thinking the extended will make it a little better so I don't have to worry about it.

I don't notice the slightly bigger cover at all, feels good to me.

this is seriously annoying me like crazy and when its on 3g network and two bars the websites don't even load up!

REALLY considering trading it in for the razr at this point... ics is nice but the razor will get it in a month or so anyway and i DO need a phone for web browsing and making calls after all... not to just look pretty

"Its turns out that there is no issue with the signal strength, but that the problem resides in the manner in which the device displays the signal bars.

The phone’s reception is great, Verizon and testers alike suggest. However, Galaxy Nexus does have a problem with the way in which it displays the signal, and a fix for that will arrive soon.

According to Verizon, the handset is comparing the 4G signal with the 3G one, and treats it as if it were the latter. Thus, although the connectivity is great, it shows less signal bars than it should. The upcoming software update for the device will adjust the signal scale, and all will be solved. "

that's what apple said about the iphone on ATT. -_-

If people are saying they're having signal issues that result in dropped calls and data, then it's a problem. Samsung notoriously has weak radios in their phones.

Verizon has had problems with 4G signals across all of their phones for the past few weeks.

I've never seen more than 3 bars while running 4G on the GNexus.

Haven't had a dropped call or downloading issues yet.

Same here. Sometimes my galaxy nexus wont show any bars, yet my download speeds
                      Seem unaffected.

The reception seems much stronger than my OG droid and at least as consistent.

So torn. Nexus or Razr. This sucks. Love motorola but want to play with ICS. I will make my choice in 2012 either way.

                          got the Galaxy Skyrocket II.

Best phone i've ever owned. I went to my buddies house and they all have iphones and they couldn't believe how wide but light it was and how amazing the screen was.

My plan quite costly though. I got the LTE plan with 10 gb of data! 85 a month.

If you are a big netflix guy then I can see needing 10gbs, otherwise, too much.

First things first, I would root the phone.
