yeah. it's pretty simple as long as you follow the instructions. install the drivers, and then open the toolkit which has a "one click" unroot, back to stock, option

Sorry for the dumb question. So install the drivers is done by clicking that link and unzipping right? This is done while phone is plugged in or does not have to be plugged in yet?

just follow the instructions in that thread and you'll be good. there are many ways to install the drivers. the toolkit.exe they have there is just the toolkit, you have to read the full first post for all the steps

Am having major issues resetting the phone to stock. It is pissing me off

I tried to follow the steps but it wont do it.

I have 4 days to return the phone before VZ charges me for it.

Thanx man, I live about 15-20 min from Met Life Stadium in Union City


Well I got the phone from Craigs List on a trade for my REzound

The dude did not tell me the phone is moded with cyanogenmod 9

I never root my phone so the thought did not cross my mind to even ask, or would I have noticed unless I went digging around first.

But the phone is fine and great, but I was having an issue where you would get a rom erro when booting up the phone and two times the phone shut off and and turned back on by itself. With more then 75% battery left

So I called VZ asking for a rep, even though I knew that they would not since the phone they sold me was the rezound. The good thing is that the guy at VZ store did not remove my warranty and the girl in customer service told me that she would honor it and send me a rep which she did. I got it yesterday and noticed a few things different right away. In all honesty I prefer the moded phone because there is zero lag when going from portrait to landscape or etc etc and something are much better. But the issue scaring me is that the phone shut off by itself a few times and that rom erro popped up a few times

So I prefer to keep the replacement phone and send the other back but cannot since it is rooted and I have zero clue about these things.

I tried to do what some guy on yt put out but it wont work

If I cant unroot it back to stock today then I will have to return the replacement and keep my phone which I would hate to do

How can you return a phone to VZ that someone else bought?

The VZ customer service person told me that they could not replace a phone I bought from another person but that since the store agent who switched my phone and the other guys did not remove my warranty then she would honor it for the nexus that I bought from another person. It was a nice gesture on her part but am stuck now

power off the phone and before Turing it back on hold the volume button up and while holding up press the power button and tell me if it goes into clockwork mod recovery

You need to get that back to stock android recovery.

That could be an issue with just that ROM. You can try flashing a new ROM. Look for stability, etc.

If anything, My GF lives in North Bergen, I'm familiar with the area.

That sounds like an error with the ROM itself.

On that same XDA site, you can find other ROMs to flash.

One of our clients got the new Galaxy today so I finally got to check out ICS. Pretty cool from the few minutes I spent with it (just played with it after setting up the Active Sync account) but I'm looking forward to it.

Too bad I'm still waiting for GB on my Infuse. :
