This came up on a Google search. Maybe it will help.

In my article on my Droid apps, a commenter asked if there was a list of video/tv apps for the Droid because she had just switched to the Droid and missed the VCast video app. Since, the Android Marketplace is a such a mess, I did some research and found all the apps I could to compliment my list of music, audio and radio apps.

Nobody knows when flash is coming...

It'll be out well after 2.1 is out for the Droid... Don't hold your breath.

And you would purchase the N1 for Verizon on Google's website. That's the only place you'll be able to purchase any N1's for any network.

For live TV all I've seen was NBA League Pass Mobile which is great for 20 bucks. Mobitv is coming fro what i've heard.

If you want a faster browsing experience on the Droid, install the Opera beta.

doesn't always renders things quite as nicely as the google browser, but it does so
much more quickly and scrolling through pages is much smoother. I think it puts some of your recent history in memory because when you hit 'Back' it loads the previous page instantly where as the google browser looks like it resends the URL.

Again, it's just the beta version.

I think the Xscope browser is a little better, I didn't like that their was no pinch to zoom on the Opera browser.

Xscope is def the best browser avail IMO, but if you are in a spot of town where your connection isn't very strong, I could def see the Opera browser coming in handy. Especially for those on the ATT network (if anyone actually purchases a Backflip)

                    I'll look into that. Thanks.

Edit: Having looked at it, I appreciate xScopes functionality, but Opera operates so fast I think I'll stick with it until another browser can come close to it's performance.

Hang tight, Motorola Droid owners; it looks like you're one step closer to getting that Android 2.1 update.

On Wednesday, Verizon Wireless posted details (PDF) about the software upgrade and its lists of enhancements and improvements, which include:

*Pinch-to-zoom support in the browser, gallery, and Google Maps.
*New weather and news apps and widgets.
                      *Support for voice-to-text entry.
*Live wallpapers (a la Nexus One)
*Support for free Yahoo mail accounts, and e-mail accounts will no longer need to be re-entered after over-the-air (OTA) updates.
                      * Improved pattern lock functionality.

Verizon stopped just short of providing a release date for the update. However, according to Engadget Mobile, the carrier could be rolling out Android 2.1 as early as Thursday in batches of 250,000, so be on the lookout for a little OTA delivery soon.

I just purchased 2- 1 for me and 1 for my gf off of Verizon's website. I got them both for $150 because they had a BOGO sale. They should be here tomorrow.

This thing is becoming the Chinese Democracy of software updates.

Exactly...they have to be very careful, any sort of issue looks super bad on Verizon...
