I work in Best Buy Mobile and there's one per carrier each week. Except for I think two weeks where Sprint and T-Mobile or AT&T don't have one. It's confusing and we didn't even know about it until the Wednesday before it happened. IDK if they'll tell us what phones are gonna be free more than a couple days before. It brings in a TON of revenue though, so a great decision by Best Buy because it's all vendor supported which means we don't lose any money.

Can you let us know Wednesday what phones are free this week? If they tell you of course.

Yeah for sure if I can find out. I'll do some searching and maybe I can figure out the whole line up for the month. All I've seen so far is the carrier line up per week. But I'm sure its somewhere in our system.

Welp, after attempting the long, drawn out root method of my stock-Froyo EVO and failing many, many times, I caved in and took the easy way out. And boy was it easy. unrevoked 3.2.1 was a simple click of the mouse and a few USB boots and I was rooted and ready to go.

I kinda wanted to do the long, manual way as a challenge but I failed hard. Oh well. Now to study up on how to customize this baby.

On my 2nd week with it, but I do agree it's a great phone.

Go to hear. I am either getting that or an Iphone on Wednesday it is my Birthday present to me.

Let me know how you like it. I would like to stay with AT&T and don't really want to be forced to get an Ipod. I have an HTC right now and love loading the custom roms on it, but the lack of apps for WM is hurting.

I saw that xda had a sub forum for the Captivate, so I read through that. They have it upgraded to 2.2, so I'll probably go and pick it up. Since they are working on it, it should keep me happy.

That's what I'm trying to figure out. Numerous publications said they would announce them at 1PM EDT today on Best Buy's Facebook and twitter page.

Still nothing. EDIT: It will be announced at 1PM Central time.

Best buys free phone for Verizon is the LG Ally. Are you freaking kidding me?? They went from a top of the line $200 phone last week to the freaking LG Ally?? I can get the Ally free pretty much anywhere. What a huge disappointment.

Yeah, they have it on a pretty hardcore lock down so I didn't find out til this afternoon either. The Pantech Pursuit makes no sense. It's not even a smart phone and you can get it free almost every other week. I can't believe they were so lame with their choice on that one.

Ok so I got the Fascinate today and im trying to record a video in 720p. I select the 1280X720 resolution yet when I upload to Youtube its only in 480p.

Im I doing something wrong?

EDIT: I figured it out. I guess it just takes youtube a while to fully process the videos.

And buy the way, if anyone is wondering, the Fascinate is an amazing phone! The screen is as good as advertised. I was going to get the DX but after comparing the screens side by side there is no comparison. I also like the form factor better than the DX.
