T-Mobile is one of the best carriers in the US.

I almost slapped myself when I read that. Really boils down to where you live really. They sucked in Chicago, sucked in northwest Indiana and have ZERO presence in Vermont.

Also, at least one of the phones listed will have a faster CPU than the EVO.
So, there may not be an EVO clone on there, but to say they aren't comparable to the EVO, is misleading, IMO.Comment

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
For people who travel to Europe several of these will be very beneficial. Up till now Verizon phones didn't work with their networks.

Personally I'm hoping/waiting for a phone that will ideally have a 4.3 inch Super AMOLED screen, a front facing camera and a relatively fast processor with a decent amount of RAM. The operating system is moot to me although I would like to continue my smartphone relationship with Android
Until some news comes out on that kind of Verizon phone, most other smart phone news will be disappointing to me.Comment

Re: Official DROID Discussion Thread
I guess you didn't see the posts I made earlier on the page where you first quoted me. Either way, you are right in a way. For me though, those phones do not measure up to an EVO. What makes the EVO, the EVO, to me, is the 4.3 inch screen and the front facing camera. So in that sense, none of the phones on that page you linked to compare to an EVO.

I'm guessing Verizon won't put out a phone with a front facing camera till LTE becomes more prominent. I would imagine sometime early to mid 2011.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Well walked into the Sprint store and walked out with an Evo. Glad I didn't have to go through all the backorder mess that others did.
Initial impression is, I really miss the intuitive Blackberry OS and the physical keyboard but I'm sure I'll adjust in a few days.
Gonna try to root tonight. I also plan on getting a case, spare battery, spare desk charger for work, and a car charger. Yeah, I'm always on my phone so I know I'm already going to need it if my usage brings even the Curve's battery down to 30% by the end of my work day. Got the music player running all day, constantly checking emails, Internet, and social networking sites.

And oh yeah....I got a Droid X on Friday! This phone is simply outstanding. No tech talk yet, just wanted to say how slick it is."Hard work beats talent, when talent isn't working hard.”Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I'm with AT&T and my contract is up soon. I want to get an Andriod but AT&T has terrible phones. I guess I'll be waiting to see what happens with 4G and if AT&T doesn't get any good phones, I'll switch or get an unlocked phone.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
I work in Best Buy Mobile and there's one per carrier each week. Except for I think two weeks where Sprint and T-Mobile or AT&T don't have one. It's confusing and we didn't even know about it until the Wednesday before it happened. IDK if they'll tell us what phones are gonna be free more than a couple days before. It brings in a TON of revenue though, so a great decision by Best Buy because it's all vendor supported which means we don't lose any money.Kansas City Royals | FC Barcelona | New Orleans Pelicans
