 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

So I just upgraded my phone yesterday from a Pantech Link to a HTC Inspire or just $0.01. I found out it is a year old phone, but it still looks pretty awesome and seems like a better choice than a 8gb Iphone 3gs. Did I make the right choice?

What do I need to know about Android phones, apps I need, and other stuff that could be helpful?Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Come to an android thread and ask that and I'm sure you'll get a resounding "YES!"
So much to know it's hard to narrow it down. Basically on Android you can customize the appearance of your phone to your hearts desire or but I'd probably leave it stock till you get a grasp of what you like about the phone and what you don't.What do I need to know about Android phones, apps I need, and other stuff that could be helpful?

As far as browsing OS, the tapatalk app is awesome. It allows you to subscribe to forums and get super fast access to them by cutting all the clutter that is associated with doing it on a web browser.

Speaking of browsers, after you play with the stock browser a little, look into Dolphin or Boat Browser.

Check here for some other apps I recommended a few months back http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043296640

Also, download the amazon app store app. They have a free app of the day that are hit or miss, mostly miss, but sometimes they can have a real gem.Oakland Athletics San Jose Sharks

When you get some more specific questions fire away.

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Samsung announced late last night the Galaxy SIII will launch on 5 carriers this month. I'm thinking more along the lines of the end of June. It was launched in Europe 5/30. Sprint already has scheduled an even 6/12."Never trust a big butt and a smile."-Ricky Bell

I don't need a new phone, my HTC Senny is perfect, but that S3 looks amazing.

I also like the blue that they went with.Comment

 Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

The SIII does look good, but in reality, when you compare it to the SII, its a processor update and a bit better screen, I mean the SII is still a champ, I don't think its worth the hoopla and a big huge upgrade. The SII is still one of the number one selling phones and I think It will continue.

Quick question is anyone know, When sprint switches fully over to there 4G LTE, what then does the regular 4G phones then run on?N.Y Mets

Some of the Samsung's new features are very nice though. I'll wait on the reviews.Comment
