What is Tasker? What ISN'T Tasker..

It's pretty heavy stuff. You can - almost - do anything. Time, location and event triggers to automate nearly everything. I'd look around to get an idea of what's possible with it. I still see people sharing profiles for stuff that surprises me. Bound only to your imagination, patience and the profiles shared by the community heh

      I'll check out navfree, thanks!

Don't think I need to make phone calls, or if we do we'll just get a prepaid card cheap. Or we can suffer the cruise ship price for a quick call.

My Wife and I are getting S4s today. iPhone was fun while it lasted, but the OS has gotten stale for me and iOS 7, while aesthetically pleasing, is still not enough. Back to Android I go.

Looking forward to having some fun with this device!

I have a potentially dumb question.

Does it matter where you buy your phone from in terms of your contract? I have ATT and always bought my phones from the ATT store. I want the S4, but they never seem to have it on sale. While wal-mart and Best Buy usually have it for sale. It will be an upgrade so I am renewing my contract. Would the process be any different? I'm assuming ATT doesn't price match.

Yeah, no different in terms of activation and contract extensions, and they often have differing deals for devices. I've heard mixed reviews about their replacement plans (black tie?), but things may be different these days. Might be worth looking into. As for price matching, I don't think so but it obviously wouldn't hurt to call up and ask..

Anybody have an experience with a Motorola Droid they can share with me? I'm switching to Verizon next month since my contract is ending and they just unveiled a new line of Droid phones that'll come out right when my contract ends. Otherwise I'll be going with the S4.

How long do you guys think the S4 and HTC One will be the "top of the class" phones for Android?

Sprint has buy one, get one S4s. I'm strongly leaning HTC One though. I wonder if they'd do the same deal for those instead.

Switched back from iOS and picked up a GS4 tonight. Any app recommendations? Been out of the Android game for a while.

Maybe until the Moto X comes out.

probably not much... I wouldn't wait around for it.

One last question too. I'll be coming from an unrooted Evo 3D.

Is there a way to like, mirror transfer everything I have on this phone (contacts, settings, apps, game progress, EVERYTHING) to a new phone I get?

If you're not rooted check out My Backup for 5 bucks or the 30 day trial would get you through the transfer.

Anybody get a new N7? Sounds like they've officially been unleashed.

There doesn't appear to be a general "Google" thread, either, but I got my Chromecast yesterday and, yeah, it's pretty cool. Anyone else?
