Wonder how many people are rushing to get refunds on tickets after reading these accounts.

I read somewhere that there have been a lot of people trying to unload their tickets for future shows after what happened last night. Ive also read that depending on how the show goes tonight in Chicago they might just pull the plug on the entire tour.

Looks like Detroit was just an experiment. Tonight is going much better in the windy city.

No stand up comic, and Sheen is taking questions from an interviewer.

No booing, yet, and it's much more structured. He read a poem how much he hates Detroit.

        Intermission.

Charlie Sheen's Chicago show has ended -- and it was a definite improvement over Detroit. Read our live recap to see how it all went down.

Details are sketchy but Hugh Grant has been offered over $1 million an episode to replace Sheen on 2 1/2 Men.

Talks have stalled due to "creative differences".

I read today Jeremy Piven could take over the roll in 2 1/2 Men. That's a much better option then Hugh Grant imo. Piven would be perfect for that roll.

Yeah he'd be better than Grant imo. Hugh Grant is better at playing the arkward, nervous bumbling nerd rather than a brash ladies man like Charlie.

                Piven is Ari Gold.

That is how I see him, that's how a lot of people see him, and that's a problem if he wants to take a different high-profile role.

Why do they need to replace Sheen? They can't just write him out and go with Cryer and the kid?

Would you watch that for more than maybe 1 or 2 episodes? I certainly wouldn't.

I thought it sucked before, but if after 9 years or whatever you can't make one of your lead guys likeable and popular enough with the fans (as I'm assuming Cryer isn't, given your last comment) to carry the show if the other guy leaves, you might have bigger issues.

Lol I'm not a fan either and I think they have just been flogging the same few jokes over and over again for years but I think a show with just the kid and Alan would be brutally bad. It would be kinda like that show that starred John Ritter that quickly went to obscurity once he passed away, i don't see them being able to revive 2AAHM once Charlie is gone.

I saw a rerun of an old episode of Spin City the other day which Charlie starred in following Michael J Fox leaving and he pretty much played the exact same character as this one and was even called Charlie in Spin City as well. How did he managed to score two high paying sitcom gigs both where he got to play someone with the same name as his real name? That's 'winning' right there.

Jeremy Piven is old hat. Annoying, stupid. As if Entourage wasn't bad enough, the once-awesome Ari character turned into a predictable mishmash of blowing up on whoever. Got boring.

I guess I'm in the minority but I would watch a show with Alan and Jake. Charlie was hilarious but I always loved Alan and Jake more.

Would Piven be CAST as Charlie?

I liked Piven long before he was Ari, so I like the choice.
