            Yeah, it was. I admit, I was skeptical at first when I heard about the re-boot, but now, I'm actually looking forward to the movie. I'm still pissed at how Maguire and a few others basically spat in the face of the franchise that made them mega-stars.

                I dont need you to play to my emotional side to enjoy the movie

                                        I'm changing my initial impression, admitting I was wrong earlier in this thread and saying I now look forward to this movie after seeing that trailer! I've also changed my mind about the lead actor, he does seem like a good Peter Parker.

                                        Not sure I buy Emma Stone as a blonde, it just looks strange, but that's not a big concern of mine to be honest.

                                            The Spider-Man 3 stuff was awful but the Spider-Man character has a lot more to it than just fighting guys.

                                                I agree. I'm not liking the direction of it and you can already see that's what they are after and it's kind of catching on with some.

                                                Not everything these days has to be dark and so mysterious. There is so much you can do with Spiderman. I still think they should have gone beyond how he came to be and his past with his parents. To me it seems like they are trying to tap into the Twilight crowd.

                                                    Spider-Man has always had parts that were "dark and mysterious", it's not Batman level but he's not a forever bright and cheery character. The stuff that we've seen so far of the movie has been touched on in other Spider-Man comics and tv shows so it's not like it has just been created to draw in the Twilight audience.

                                                        And they are doing things that haven't been done with Spider-Man in the movies.

                                                            I'm sure they will but my interpretation is that they are doing it to draw in on the current dark vibe that has grown in popularity in recent years. It doesn't feel very unique to me. It feels more like, "people like this theme right now so let's cash in on it."

                                                            But that's just opinion. I was upset with the Captain America movie and was then proven wrong by how he was done in The Avengers.
