It'll leave you with around 8GB of free space. You'll still be able to download a ton of apps.

Yeah apple knows what their doing, but 256 mb ram just isn't cutting it in my book, apple like to overprice for the hardware, they should actually give us something worth the overprice..... iPad is fast because it's processor, but come on I hope to at least have the same amount of ram the iPhone 4 has..... Actually I'm get 3 tablets, exopc, iPad 2, and xoom

If this is the case I'd be very interested in an Android vs iOS run down of how much RAM utilization there is between operating systems and generic processes. I'm going to say that Android is going to need more regardless just because of it's java based OS and apps.

Actually, it looks like it has 512mb of ram with a faster clock speed. This is plenty, IMO.

Either or, some say 256, some say 512mb ram, still not enough to make me buy it, but I don't have to, I'm getting it free on my behalf, so, going to buy exopc instead of Motorola xoom

Let's not start the iOS vs. Android thing here. I think the point you're making is that either way, it seems to be enough for what the device needs to do.

Even at 256, if you've used one you'd know it's completely adequate for using the device. And if it isn't, wait until it is.

But there's no point in rehashing the topic over and over or turning this into some vs. war.

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to make it a war. I work with a java based B2B integration software package daily so I understand how memory intensive java can be at times..

One more question about the iPad. I'm using the one from work so my wife can fully check it out. I know that it doesn't support flash. When she tries to play Cityville, it will not work due to the lack of flash. Is there anyway around it?

One more question about the iPad. I'm using the one from work so my wife can fully check it out. I know that it doesn't support flash. When she tries to play Cityville, it will not work due to the lack of flash. Is there anyway around it?

There's supposedly an app called Skyfire which allows it to play flash.

Yup, I can't freaking wait. It was FANTASTIC on the iPhone last year. You could watch any game at any time and the quality was incredible.

The iPad will look THAT much nicer.
