the back of your iphone is gorilla glass, doesn't scratch very easily.

the back of the ipad is aluminum...not nearly as hard as gorilla glass. i put a "scuff" on the aluminum on my iPad 1 within 2 weeks and got a case. my boss has an ipad 2 with just the apple smart cover, and the back looks like absolute crap.

lots of case choices, depends on what you are looking for...thin and light, thick and protective...etc

really liked it. a few friends picked it up too after seeing it.

looking at this one for the new ipad - i'm interested in the rotating aspect of it. as much as i love the mophie, there are times i wish it would stand up in portrait mode (i.e. Words with Friends). i'm hoping the apple store will stock this so i can see it in action before buying it.

I use a tpu smart cover companion for the back cost me $5 on eBay.. And Smart Cover on the front..

My iPad 2 was in perfect condition when I sold it.. I will probably go with the same combo again.. Offers decent protection while keeping my iPad slim and light still.

Getting mine tomorrow.. Going from a 1 -3 so i think it will be quite the leap. I have loved my Ipad 1 for the last 2 years and can't wait to get my hands on the new one.

Bought one at Wal Mart a few hours ago. The screen really is as good as advertised. It is a bit heavier than the 2, but it isn't bothersome. A worthwhile upgrade from the 2 imo.

this will be my first iPad (thank you tax refund check!). Didn't pre-order, I'm just gonna show up at the Apple store and see if I can get lucky. I went to the same Apple store to buy a 4S the day after it was released, and the Apple salesperson told me the store was fairly dead by noon, so I'm hopeful it'll be the same. If not, no biggie, I can wait

Loving it.. The display is beautiful and it runs fast as hell and super smooth.. Can tell a huge difference over my stepmom's iPad 1

Mine is on the FedEx truck out for delivery. Hopefully, it will be there when I take my lunch break. I'm going to Best Buy tonight to buy accessories and my Zagg anti-glare screen protector. Reward Zone certificates FTW!
