Saw it yesterday with my wife. Not a movie I would pick up to see myself, but it was ok, sometimes very realistic.

Edit: It wasn't the same director but it was based off a book by the same Arthur as The Notebook.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 02-07-2010, 08:55 PM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Dear John
I have not seen a bonafide "chick-flick" in some time, so maybe I just wasn't accustomed to their nature, but this movie made me cringe. With each successive cliche, I sunk further and further into my seat. I left really wanting to punch something in the face. I just couldn't believe spontaneous rainfall, cancer, death of a loved one, marine fight moves on beaches, autism, love letters, a breakup, slow-motion surfing, charity work, horses, and a Volkswagen could all be shamelessly shoved into one single movie.
And then there was Channing Tatum trying to cry.Comment

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment
