I had to drive through Cleveland moving here to Vermont, good lord traffic there in the middle of the day is no joke. I mean seriously it was just 1pm and it was already bad LOL.

I was messing around with the phone yesterday and it's a beast. Very nice phone.

Still on its initial charge from yesterday afternoon. 26 hours and counting and I have about 70 minutes talk time, 20+ texts, 45 minutes of messing with the web browser and other random things I've messed around on the phone with. I'm going to let the battery drain all the way down before I charge it again though, as I have heard that is how you get the most efficiency out of your battery early on.

I >ALMOST< pulled the trigger on this. I still can't stand just how jerky the menu system is. Might be the result of HTC's UI, but either way until it's buttery smooth it would annoy me to death. Maybe 2.2 will bring this, but who knows when that will happen.

That and Sprint charging me for 4G when NYC doesn't even have 4G coverage yet... yeah, right...

I heard that 2.2 is due by September, which is when Cleveland is rumored to have 4G up and running by.

bought it today, getting shipped via radio shack, and I'll get it Tuesday. traded in my iphone 3g 16gb and got 144 (!!) for it.

I thought the EVO was rooted already which would allow you to update to 2.2 sooner, but loose the sense. Not sure about this phone buy my Incredible feels cheap. The "H" on "HTC" peeled off in one week.

I held the phone in my hand yesterday, it feels far from cheap..

I thought the EVO was rooted already which would allow you to update to 2.2 sooner, but loose the sense. Not sure about this phone buy my Incredible feels cheap. The "H" on "HTC" peeled off in one week.

It's been rooted but right now 4G, teetering, and the camera don't work with the froyo root so if those things aren't important you can definitely use froyo on it right now. And the phone doesn't feel cheap at all.

I don't think you have to do that anymore. New technology with cell phone batteries. I believe that stopped a few years ago.

I'll stick with my HTC HD2 for a while.

I'm with T Mobile and thought about getting an HD2, but Windows Mobile is pretty terrible compared to Android. HTC Sense does its best to hide it and make it more attractive, but I just can't do it.

allegedly the new OTA update breaks the rooting.
