You guys are easily amused. I wouldn't call it genious to recycle the same plot almost to a tee. Even to the point of replacing the baby with a monkey. It's called a cash grab and pure laziness. This move was not meant to have a sequal but they sure churned one out real quick.

You have to remember the trailer shows the best parts and those parts weren't that funny when they are the same recycled jokes. This movie has been a victim of reshoots and apparenty did not do very well with the test audiences.

I can`t wait for this movie. Saw the first one and loved it. I don`t see many movies on opening day but this will be one of them.

Knowing you can rehash a plot in a new setting with some new jokes, and having that make you a lot of money? Yes, I'd call it genius. And believe me, it will work, because apparently a lot of us are "easily amused".

I know I'll be there day one.

And I could care less about "test audiences"... they are about as reliable as most reviewers... in other words, not at all.

Actually, I thought the first Hangover looked TERRIBLE from the trailers. I only saw it cause some friends were going to go see it.
The first movie had soooo many funny parts that weren't in the trailer so I can only believe the same can be said about number 2.

I was the same way. I thought the movie looked stupid, but now it's one of the few movies I own.
