Good episode. Really want to know who the new manager is. Andy, Darryl or Dwight.

Indeed the episode did it's job, great writing. Really leaves me wanting to know who is gonna be the new boss after all that.
I'm surprised Pam wasn't atleast given an interview she seems to be the only voice of reason in the office for quite some time lolSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Ditto. I feel like they couldve done so much more with these interviews. Instead of clever subtle humor I used to love in the office, we got such far fetched characters exceeding the abnormal. Like, how many wackos would say all that stuff in actual interviews?Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Very disappointing finale. The only funny supporting character was Ryan, I felt. Andy's reaction to Erin's assertiveness made no sense. Overall, the show was very Jim-centric, which I tend to disfavor.
The cameos were overall poor. Will Arnett and James Spader were funny, but Ray Romano's character was irritating, and Jim Carrey was not funny in the least. Ricky Gervais was funny for the 15 seconds of Skype he was on. Weak.
We got an hour with no real plot or advancement (Dwight is still the apparent front-runner, Erin isn't Phyllis' daughter, Andy and Erin aren't together, and Angela is still unaware her fiancee is gay).Comment

Lol, you guys have no idea how happy my fiancée is that Gabe is gone. She HATED him.
Fantastic finale though, and yes, if you've conducted a lot of interviews like I have, you'd realize just how realistic many of those characters were. Very funny stuff and very well written.Last edited by DickDalewood; 05-20-2011, 12:36 PM.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I don't think it was really meant to end any plot lines or anything, more about setting it up for next season. There were no real true plot lines outside of Michael leaving and they already ended that, they just decided to keep the Senator/Andy and Erin storyline going until next season cause this episode was mainly about keeping you on edge on who's gonna be the new boss.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I'm really in the minority here, because this is the first post-Michael episode that I've really liked (the others were just okay, though I didn't like Ferrell's character at all).
I loved Pam's interactions both with Ryan (which has been a running rivalry since Michael Scott Paper) and with Creed (who I thought with more screen time would be annoying, but he really shined). Ryan is one of my favorite supporting characters though, and I loved him popping out of the office to tell Jim to drop the "Jim schtick" for a day and try caring about something. LOL.
Darrell sabotaging himself was great especially when he realized how far he had stooped. The scene where they had the impromptu meeting with everyone was classic office.
I absolutely loved this for some reason...
Dwight: What's your daughter's name again? Pee Pee?
Jim: Pee Pa.
Dwight: Pee Pa! How is she?
Jim: Great.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Some funny moments but I was a little disappointed. We are no closer to a new manager after the episode than before it really. The Andy-Erin-Gabe relationship triangle sort of had a conclusion, but not really.
Had its funny moments, but it didn't really move any of the plot lines forward which I find disappointing for a season finale.Comment

But yeah, for me outside of the Creed stuff and the burn victim Dwight stuff it was kind of a let down. Didn't feel they got the most out of their cameos at all and it just didn't feel like a finale aside from the episode lengthComment
