As long as were throwing in who we want as manager I'll give my two cents. When I heard that Will Ferrell was going to be on the show, I realized that the likelihood of him coming back after the next four episodes was slim, but I still wanted it to happen. After the first episode he was on, I reaffirmed this feeling. However, after the last two episodes, I don't know how I feel. His character is an f'n weird guy.

I realize that Ferrell being the guy come next fall is extremely unlikely (I did read one report that NBC made him an offer to star in the show starting in the fall though). Whatever happens, its an exciting time to be a viewer of the show. It was very sad to see Carell go, and the next few weeks would be VERY interesting.

I thought Michael's exit was really well done. The Dwight recommendation letter was an awesome touch and a great way to bring those 2 back together as friends after they had grown apart.

Still trying to figure out how Pam got through Airport Security without a ticket, but nice that she was able to see Michael and say her goodbye.

Looking forward to who the next boss will be. It's still going to be weird to watch this week and not see Michael Scott. Great character and he will be missed.

        Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***

With 10 minutes left in the Office i realized that I was now really ready to watch some Parks and Recreation. That immediately made me realize that PaR is in that same groove that The Office was in during season 2 and 3.

I still love the Office but not in the same way. It really reminds of me of watching season 6 of LOST. It was awesome as shhyt but in a whole different way. By now we all know the characters. No more questions, only answers. Jim and Pam maybe/maybe not hooking up was way better than "It's on like DK".

Anyways, it I enjoyed it and thought it was a "classy" way for him to exit.

Michael mentions in season 6 (the episode "Happy Hour") that he is writing a book called "Somehow I Manage".

I love all of the references that they throw in... it is really a treat for the hardcore Office fans.

She bought a ticket to somewhere. She could of gotten a pass, but that would have taken too long.

Pretty funny episode tonight. The dialogue between DeAngelo/Jim and DeAngelo/Dwight was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing when Dwight got yelled at

Going back to Michael's goodbye episode. The really only satisfying part to me was Jim and his conversation. Michael always wanted to be a good boss, and everyone always moaned about his style, but Jim, of all people, who hated that job, realized that Michael is what made that office great. That was the best part.

Edit: Another reason was how Michael always wanted to be accepted and liked by Jim. That was probably 20% of the entire Office series. And Michael teared up saying his goodbye, Jim cut him off and you could see Michael felt shut down again. But Jim came through and gave Michael one of two comments that would make his day (the other being they were friends).

That closing scene with the bar joke made my brain hurt.

The show did fine without Michael last night.

Andy's line about The Penis Apologies cracked me up.

Jim cut him off so he didn't have to say goodbye. Jim was going to say goodbye when he figured out Michael was leaving, but stopped when Michael told him why. Michael didn't want to say goodbye, so that is why Jim played along and said they would go out to lunch tomorrow.
