Haha really? That's actually very relieving to me. Haha I feel like a gullible newb :P.

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
I haven't but it was number one over the weekend with almost $22 million. But I highly doubt it will be scarier then the original Exorcist.
Hands down....the original Exorcist has to be the scariest movie ever.Comment

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
I've been told that my whole life, my mom said it changed her forever haha. I saw it not too long ago and it didn't scare me, I think that's one of those movies that was scariest for it's time. But then again, to each their own.Comment

I think some of this may hinge on your religious beliefs.
bfjoe...Re-animator.....GOOD call! Not the greatest of flicks, but like They Live, whenever it's on...I watch it!

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
Honestly I think it's more due to the many parodies I've seen prior to seeing the actual movie (ie Scary Movie).Comment

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
You must see the original Planet of the Apes.
I know I am in the minority but I also like the Mark Whalberg version from about 10 years ago. It is not a "must see" but is strongly recommended if you enjoyed the original.
I love POTA.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"
Now Playing:
XB1 (Forza Motorsport 6 and Horizon 2)
Switch (Mario Kart and Zelda)
PS3 (old 2k games and the Show)Comment

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
It's worse than The Fourth Kind.
Actually, it isn't. But it ultimately leaves a lot to be desired. You know where a movie can get you talking after, maybe even applauding at the screen? This isn't one of them.
Oh and as far as scares? There are maybe two legitimate jump moments (neither of which had me) and there is really one spine-chilling spooky kind of moment. Otherwise, you can't help but think they titled this movie for the sake of the genre being overplayed to the point of annihilation.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
So what makes a horror movie for you guys? What makes it scary?
For me I think it's the realism that a movie can pull off that suggests it could happen to me. That's where I think The Exorcist and Poltergeist freak me out.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.
Not sure how I missed this thread, but I love horror films.
Speaking of The Exorcist............it's coming to Blu-ray rather soon, I can only imagine if it will make the film any creepier depending on what Warner does with remastering it.Comment
