Re: Conan
I think he handles himself well for a 16-year-old. I agree that he is dull, but I think a lot of that is good training. The kid does have to be an adult in a few years, so better he resonate with a mature crowd now then later.
Otherwise, he'll forever be stuck in teeny bop world and those fans get older.
As much as I don't care for the kid's music, I think his career is being handled magnificently. He's not going away."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: Conan
I really don't get all the hate for Bieber. I've never listened to any of his music so I can't judge that, but he seems like a good kid who handles himself very well.Blind to this impending fate

Re: Conan
If I had a daughter and she loved Bieber, I'd understand. Seems like a good kid."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. Re: Conan
Honestly, me neither. I think it's the overexposure. When 4 of the top 10 things trending on Twitter at any given time are about him....its crazy. He's just sorta kinda douchey...but seems like a good kid.Comment

Re: Conan
He does say the right things, it will be interesting to see how he handles growing up in the spotlight with that "clean and innocent" image he has currently.

Re: Conan
I don't hate or hate on the kid but in that interview he just seemed kind of off to me. Can't put my finger on it exactly, just seemed awkward.PS: You guys are great.

Re: Conan
That's how I feel as well. When I made the "dull" comment, I wasn't really trying to hate on him, just this particular interview seemed weird to me. He gave short, quick answers and never really seemed like he was interested in even being there in the first place.Comment

Re: Conan
Yeah, it was odd. You could tell which answers were planned jokes - but it was still a hilarious interview I thought.
