They need to give him Obama. Maybe they don't want to give it to him without knowing how he'll pan out as a cast member, but judging by the one YouTube video I've seen, his Obama is decent...and I'll take a decent impression over Fred Armisen not even trying.

**** it, I'd just fire Armisen too...the guy is just so unfunny.

They're not going to give Obama to a feature player. Once he joins the regular cast, then he might.

I know, but Armisen is just so bad at it. I can at least appreciate the effort if he was trying and it just wasn't a good fit, but it's like they throw the makeup/wig on, and he goes out there in his normal voice with a couple of "uh.."'s thrown in. It just seems like he doesn't care.

I think he is good at it. The show shines in commercial and some political skits. Some times those digital songs are good.

I thought last night was pretty good, and I'm generally not a Paul Rudd fan. I'd say the only real dud was that sketch where Fred Armisen plays the guy filling in for the host who couldn't be there and tells everyone to "speak up" about their embarrassing issues. That sketch is just always bad.

              I like that sketch.

I got turned off early on. I hate, hate that kissing family skit. It's not shocking anymore, it's just disgusting.

Yeah, I usually don't like it either; but found myself laughing at it last night. No idea why, really.

I forgot to mention, but I like that last night was really more of a Vanessa Bayer show than a Kristin Wiig. And hey, it was featured player Paul Brittain!

Why is Kristen Wiig in every sketch the past couple years or so? Yeah she's funny but not THAT funny.

I would assume it's a general lack of female talent to carry a sketch. They've had some funny women alongside Wiig, but most fall into the category of being better as supplements to the sketch and not the star of it. I will say that Vanessa Bayer looks strong so far (specifically, she performs with confidence) but obviously I'm basing that off a half-season.

The part where they all swapped the gum was disgusting. I thought the last 2 episodes have been decent. Jay Pharoah has appeared in one sketch the past 2 episodes.

I really like the guest on Weekend Update more than anything else on SNL. I think Seth Meyers does great with them.

I can never get tired of Stefon the city correspondent and his penchant for inviting tourists to clubs with that thing where midgets do something outlandish.

I also really like Garth and Kat. Never prepared, always trying to convince Seth that they worked hard on their made-up songs.

                            Then there's Snooki.

I thought last night was good. Cookie Monster was nice, considering Sesame Street's mild "campaign" to get him to host. It might be too technically complicated, but I actually wanted Cookie Monster to host at some point...it just seemed like something that would be so weird it would work.

The Miley Cyrus Show gets me every time. I'm sure it'll get old at some point, but right now it's still...pretty cool. I thought the Digital Short was great. The Underground Records "Crunkmas" was a great followup to the original. I liked the Kardashians at the end, though I think it'd be funnier if Abby Elliott wasn't doing an impression of Nasim Pedrad doing an impression of Kim Kardashian. Khloe Kardashian has a deeper voice...I just think it'd be a funnier contrast to play it that way.

I guess in my weekly "crap on Fred Armisen" moment , the Larry King sketch was bad; though it had nothing to do with him. I know I rag on Armisen a lot; and while I don't think he's strong enough to carry a sketch, I like him as a role player. I liked Fericito and Billy Smith, the Native American comedian, who would appear on Weekend Update and he's usually solid as any variety of background characters.

Jeff Bridges wasn't on many skits it seemed. You can almost tell that there was a reason he hadn't been back in nearly 30 years.

Definitely A+ on Cookie Monster being there, though I always feel like the Sesame Characters are a bit out of place trying to play up to an older crowd when they appear on SNL. I'd like them to treat everyone like preschool children. I would think that would be even funnier.

I don't know what it is either, but yea, The Miley Cyrus show is definitely pretty cool.

Not really a fan of the Kardashians. I don't think Nasim Pedrad really plays Kim well. Abby Elliot does have a bit of a Khloe look to her which is scary because I find Abby to be attractive and Khloe not so much. At all. Vanessa Bayer reminds me of Kourtney and I feel she comes the closest to appearance and speech.

The Brad Pitt deal was horrible. He overdid it.

Nice to see some of my favorite Weekend Update correspondents and guests together. Stefon is gold.

I do have to say this: If SNL is moving toward these three women being the future of the female leads on the show...

                                ...I'm actually on board.
