I wish I could have seen this live because I'm fully expecting that Hulu will cut out all of the good skits."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. re: Saturday Night Live
After a couple funny but generally boring weeks, last night was great in my opinion. I really like moving the "Secret Word" sketch to later in the show instead of having it in the post-monologue slot they usually set it for. But yeah...Digital Short, "What's My Name?", Herb Welsh, Barry Gibb...they were hitting on all cylinders last night.Comment

Nothing new with Timberlake hosting, it's always good. <object width="512" height="288">

So there was another Gibb sketch? Blah at Hulu."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. re: Saturday Night Live
Yea, Herb Welsh is definitely a favorite of mine on the show. One of those sketches that seems to always go for the same laugh, but somehow still ends up being just as funny as the time before.
Was there another "Bring it on down..." sketch this go-around for JT? Hulu cut the Gibb skit, so I have to look for that one now. Also, there hasn't been another random French dance skit yet, has there? I know Hulu cuts those too."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. re: Saturday Night Live
Why does Hulu cut sketches out?
As for the show, it delivered as I've come to expect a from a Timberlake-hosted show. I'm not a fan of his music, but it's hard not to be a fan of him. He doesn't take himself too seriously, has surprisingly good comedic timing, and when it comes to acting, he actually makes an effort at doing it well, even losing a bunch of weight for Social Network to make himself look younger.Impact de Montréal

re: Saturday Night Live
I don't think it's Hulu that really does it. I'm sure NBC decides what content appears on Hulu.
Considering that both sketches are music sketches (Liquorville and Barry Gibb talk Show), I'm going to make a safe bet that licensing might have something to do with it. But, that's just a wild guess.
They also remove a lot of performances and sometimes opening monologues."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

re: Saturday Night Live
I liked Jim Carrey's version better still, but JT's version was creepy enough to make me laugh."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied.
