Bobby Moynihan was funny during the dating show. "should I have brought a buddy?"

The Caligula sketch was awful. Agreed.

Everything else was great though Maine Justice confuses the heck out of me.

Do people from Maine talk like that or is there something I'm missing?

Yeah Maine justice is confusing. This is the second sketch they have done with this. The first was with Jamie Foxx playing the bailiff. Many people affected by Hurricane Katrina moved from Louisiana to Maine so maybe that is why they are talking in that accent.

That's my guess. It seems as if they are from Louisiana. I just didn't know there was a huge influx of people from that region moving into Maine.

It's just a joke. It's not really supposed to make sense, just be funny because you have people who seem to be natives of Maine doing things and talking like people Louisiana. "Maybe they all relocated to Maine after Katrina but don't want to change their ways. Or maybe they're part of some kind of courtroom exchange program. Or maybe there's a space-time portal and they spend half their time in Maine and half in New Orleans and they've started to mix the two up. Yeah, that's what it is." I think it's a funny sketch.

They say that? I definitely missed that explanation. Well, then, that explains it. It's supposed to be weird.

Yeah, they established that (displaced Louisiana residents) as the joke in the first one with Jamie Foxx - but no sign of it in the Timberlake one, so I can see the confusion.

Never really watched SNL other then a few skits i've seen, slowly just watching some older episodes based on guest hosts I find interesting since I can't decide on a new show to watch.

Bump as a reminder that they're back new tonight with Melissa McCarthy and Phoenix.

I thought her episode last year was pretty good, let's see if tonight is more of the same.

I thought it was pretty good for this season. Drunk uncle was funny as usual and the Ham skit made me chuckle.

I fell asleep but found the monologue and Rutgers parody hilarious. She's definitely a very funny slapstick comedian.

Will rewatch sometime during the week.

Yeah I really like Melissa McCarthy. Loved the skit she did as the basketball coach. Throwing toasters at players and chasing them with a golf cart.

Next week is Vince Vaughn. Hopefully he delivers because I really can't stand him.

I liked last night's too. I'm usually hit-or-miss on Vince Vaughn in general, but liked him last night. Monologue was a little long, but I liked the loose feel of it.

Sketches were the usual mixed bag of good/bad, but I really liked that (aside from the final sketch) there weren't any recurring characters. Seemed kind of like a throwback in that sense of just throwing together these scenes and seeing what happens.

Final three episodes of the season, as announced by SNL on Twitter.

May 4: Zach Galifianakis - Of Monsters and Men
May 11: Kristen Wiig - Vampire Weekend
May 18: Ben Affleck - Kanye West

This will be Affleck's fifth time...anyone think they do the Five Timer's Club monologue again, considering they just did it with Timberlake?
