Paid for it... Picking it up when we move. They wouldn't just guarantee the price, I had to pay for it and they'd hold it. We're in the process of moving this weekend and next.

I'm looking forward to it. AND, if there is a different deal within 30 days, then I'll get that price/deal too. $1700 cash total.

Very cool. Getting 4 pairs of glasses is awesome--haven't seen any other deals offering more than 2. You got a deal being $1700 out the door.

Actually, the salesperson said that the TV comes with one pair... I can't verify that as I don't have the box right now... But 4 extra pair, and the pair that comes in the box supposedly. So I'm ecstatic. The TV and BD player, and a couple of pair of glasses for $1700 would be a steal in my eyes.

Same deal is on Amazon, except on Amazon it's 1,599USD. 55in is 2,029USD. Expires on the 13th.

Yeah, I'm waiting now to finish my move, and pick it up. Can't wait to see this bad boy in motion. I have DirecTv coming to install on Monday, so hopefully I can pick up the TV this weekend.

DirecTv is installed, now just need to have some good 3D Programming. Picture on the TV is beautiful. Just wish I could stay at this house this week, instead of waiting until Sunday when I'm "moving". Time to go back home to a 32" SDTV for a few days, lol.

PS- Opted for the 55" 3D LED instead of the 47" per my wife's advice... definitely a VERY nice set.

Thanks man. I'm a lucky guy, with a wife who suggested I go for the bigger TV as "it'll make the 3D experience better" she said... Instant love, haha.

As soon as I get back to the house this weekend, if I can find a sports game in 3d, I'll definitely post about it. After I get some time with the set, I'll try to give an in depth review of it.

We were going to jump on the 3d bandwagon this weekend, but pulled back. Just not a fan of the glasses, and since they already have 22 inch non-glasses 3d tv available, I figured I would wait until they can perfect them at a larger size.

The 2D to 3D conversion just gives you content to watch while waiting for the blu rays to come out (the tv makes 2D content into 3D on the fly).

Most people have a huge issue with paying for the glasses (can't think of any that i've seen advertising giving you more than 2). That package you linked to is basically giving you the 3D blu ray player and glasses for free.

Compared to Sony, Panny and Samsung...LG is the youngest of the bunch. LG isn't another budget brand. They give you feature packed sets for a very good price.

Me and FF have LG plasmas. We both highly recommend 'em.
agreed, LG is a great brand. I have 3 LG's in my house.

How many glasses did you get, 4 or 6?

I didnt get to see it live Will, it was an article on MSNBC. They have 15 inch, and 22 inch ready to go, but only in Japan. They are working on perfecting those sizes, then they are working going to start working on larger sizes. 40 to 50 inch non-glasses 3d tv's will not show here in the states until probably around 2014-15.

Here is the article(The first model is made by Toshiba)

Gotcha. Appreciate the insight. I figured in 4-5 years I'd be looking for the "new tech" stuff... so that's perfect timing. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't available yet, or I would have been kicking myself, haha. Thanks man.
