The Polks actually are pretty solid. The Pioneers are good for the price but you do lose some power, but for most people that power isn't a huge deal.

The Polks by far. The Pioneers are for someone who is on an extreme budget. The Polks actually sound very good. Don't get me wrong, the Pioneers are a solid set of speakers for the money, but the Polks have way better balance.

Finally got around to messing with settings on my VT60. I never knew a TV could look so good. Opened up the 3D glasses for the first time and popped in the only 3D movie I happen to own.... Titanic (don't hate). There was some ghosting (is that the term) issues where I could see through stuff, but otherwise it was pretty incredible.

Good stuff. Titanic made me a believer in 3D at home. Hadn't seen the movie in years but bought it based on the reviews of the 3D. Did not disappoint.

It's the best 3D movie I own (even better than Avatar), and it's a post-conversion. That's pretty unbelievable.

I ordered Avatar last night. I was the same way. I love 3D in the theater and the concept, but I figured it would be kind of useless on anything other than a massive movie screen.

That Samsung I believe is their flagship model. CNET and AVS reviewers put it as one of the best LEDs that is out today - http://www.avsforum.com/a/avs-forums...m_medium=email
You can also look into that Sony which is $200 less than the Samsung at Best Buy. Whether it's worth it or not is hard to say. If you have no problem spending $2,000 on a TV I say go for one of the better two. If you get it through Best Buy sign up for their rewards before hand so you get the rewards points.

If you want a TV that will do what it is intended to do and not a boatload of extras, get Sony's flagship model. Should a little cheaper and has a better image. The Sammy will have all those "extras" that are really useless fluff like most of their products do.

So I flip flopped back and forth between the Samsung and the Sony and ended up ordering the Sony. I really liked the design of the Samsung (thinner, thinner bezel), but some of the reviews of the Sony sold me on it. I think I would have been happy either way.

Thanks for the input guys as the Sony (for some reason) wasn't even on my radar until you brought it up.

It's being delivered next Friday (I wasn't going to be around much until next weekend anyway). I'll have it hooked up in time for the Super Bowl!
