Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I personally love the value you get with Vizio, yet it's not crap like some of the low end stuff you see at Walmart (Emerson, etc).Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I bit the bullet...bought the Sony. I had Best Buy price match, I would rather pay the tax, get it today and not have to worry about taking a day off to receive it when shipped.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Ok I'm on my way to pick it up. Quick question though a couple years ago I found some stuff to test the screen uniformity for banding, blooming, flashlighting and dead pixels. Anyone know what they may be?

Did you have them price match the BuyDig price? I called yesterday and they said they didn't match them. I'm wondering if I should go to the store and ask.MLB: Pittsburgh Pirates, Colorado Rockies

They wouldn't price match buydig, but fry is selling at 1599 and they price match that.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I went by Best Buy this afternoon and looked at some other TVs in their theater room so it wasn't so bright. I think I got a bad TV, screws too tight or something. But after all the research I did today, I think I will be happiest sticking to the plasmas. I have two already that I love, so I think I'm going to replace this Vizio with the 64" Samsung plasma.
I love plasmas. After leaving LCD I went to plasma and the picture quality blows LEDs out the water. Too bad they're not making them anymore. I need a new tv for my bedroom, but I don't want a led tv. And now I wonder what I should get.

The price on the remaining Panasonic VT and ZT plasmas is going up. Low supply and high demand.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I get my new Samsung plasma tomorrow to replace the Vizio LED I was having issues with. I really do think I just got a lemon of a Vizio, so it isn't indicative of the line of TVs of which I own a 42" LCD of and haven't had any issues.
I've attached an image of what my Vizio was doing so you guys could see what I'm talking about. This is the loading screen of The Last of Us that is suppose to be black with just a few spores floating in from the left. You can see the bright flashlighting in the 4 corners. It was really distracting in darker scenes of movies, as well when playing this game in the dark areas. Like I said earlier, this was my first LED and I can't believe this is what it should be doing on a black screen.Attached Files

Best Buy has the 60" Panasonic VT60 on clearance for $1800 right now. Amazon is sold out. I would order it now and not wait another minute.Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
The picture shows hotspotting. Low end tvs larger than 60" will have this trait.
