No. Just because you don't know what you are getting. I'm all for saving a buck, but I'm against buying used electronics with no warranty. Your money though.

      Check out www.bestbuy.com/instore‎
Put in your area and it will show open box, and returned items that are only available at your specific store.

To make it easy, here are the 40"-45" LEDs rated 4* or higher at Best Buy.
Visio always has good value. Samsung usually the better picture.

Love seeing floorstanding speakers up front vs. those tiny satellite speakers.

And nice job hiding the sub...almost didn't see it.

Thanks, we watched Thor: The Dark World and it sounded like we were in the theatre. Definitely a huge upgrade from the HTIB speakers...

Yep, night and day difference especially when you get to enjoy a active subwoofer.

I'm about to watch right now....enjoyed the first.

Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

I game on my plasma that is still a great set, but man I have been thinking of setting up my own little area in my apartment and buying a nice high end PC monitor, I'm over the big screen gaming. I wanna buy the gold headset from sony firmly P4 and maybe go this route, I have saw this Asus ok sale for $169 with a $20 off right at checkout , so $149 for a great monitor.

I've got a great (and cheap!) Monoprice wall mount coming in soon. Combine that with my new Samsung sound bar and Xbox One Kinect TV mount I'll be in great shape.

Question on putting wires through the wall. This is an exterior wall, so not sure if it's worth trying to snake the wires through it or not....I've heard sometimes there's extra studs I'd have to drill through (fire block or something) which I'm not really equipped to do. Might not be an issue though too.

Just thought I'd see if there's anything major to worry about or think about. For now I'm fine with having them hang, but tempting to pop them through a small hole. It's only the Kinect cables (forget if that's just 1 or 2 cables), a HDMI, and a tv power cable. I may throw an optical one through there just to future proof myself, but no biggie.

Are you putting all your equipment in a unit beneath where you are hanging your TV? If so, it shouldn't be that tough to run your wire, you'll just have to deal with some insulation. If you don't have a fish tape, you might want to pick one up to make it easier getting the wires through.

I'm not sure how soundbars work, I have an AV receiver and separate speakers. Does all your equipment hook to it through HDMI? You'll probably want to run an optical cable from your TV to the soundbar for any apps the TV has if it is a Smart TV.

Cool. I'll look into the fish tape then.

The soundbar takes in my Xbox One HDMI and passes through to the TV. I could do the optical, but I think the HDMI is better overall. It works now, so no complaints.

My boxes (cable and xbox) are in my entertainment center, so I'd just put a hole near the floor that the wires come out of, probably 4-5ish feet apart.

Just thought I'd run it by everyone. I have a stud finder coming tomorrow. Probably just need the Fish Tape and a saw of some sort to cut the hole (or can I just cheat and use a drill bit or something)?

Chad B. is going to make a California tour soon. He will charge $425 if he can get seven more people to sign up through him during this tour, otherwise it will be $600.

If you're located near the Bay Area, CA Chad B has agreed to come out and bring his vaunted calibrating skills! However to make this trip worth his while he will need at least 8 calibrations to make it worth his while. I'm in so that means 7 more people. He will keep it his normal fee $425...

Might go get this today. Still poking around, pricing on that model pretty consistent though so might as well get reward certs.

Thankfully my mount should work too for a 65:
