It's a good jump in price from the Westinghouse I've been looking at. I'm curious if the 600 Hz is a good or bad thing when playing video games. Also curious of the burn in stories...

I can't make up my freaking mind. I'll probably go scope out some TV's this weekend...
Let me know what you think, I may go for that one as well.

Samsung 55" 1080p 3d smart tv or the Sharp 60" Aquos Quattron? I am ready to pull the trigger anytime now I just wanted to get your guys opinions on what I should do..
Are these my best options for my price range? I really had my heart set on the 60" Sharp but the Samsung looks so nice.....Any other TVs I should be considering?
Thanks guys I'm really hoping to grab this before sunday...

After reading all the mediocre reviews for the Westinghouse...

I'm leaning towards this TV. It's $300 more...but I could be in it for the long haul.

Real good price on it and I've been wanting to go bigger than a 40.

I am sure it is an LED he is referring to since Plasma does not have a 55

Unless you sit right infront of the LED then you would not be happy with the pq of the LED from Samsung this year

Go with the Sharp. You can never go wrong with a bigger screen

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

Ok so now I'm clueless on what to get lol.

                  My size range: 46"-55"
I want to get an LCD but I'm open to a plasma

My viewing range will be 5-8 feet (it's not a huge room). I'm assuming I 100% need 1080p due to the size of the TV and my close proximity. Is that a correct assumption?

I will be using primarily a PS3 and watching sports as well as the occaisional blu-ray. What Hz do I need?

I'm just clueless and there is so much information out there! Any help is appreciated

This is the absolute best set in terms of PQ that falls into your size range that isn't ridiculously overpriced:

                    http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN51D7...=operasport-20

If you shop around, you can probably get it for 1100-1200 and the extra couple hundred bucks will be money well spent. If you wait another month, it will be even cheaper.

I have the 64 inch version of that set and I wouldn't ever give it up.

                      Thoughts?

It basically says 480p to 720p to 1080p shouldn't be a factor in purchasing an HDTV

                      55,

I'm searching for a value television set under $1,000. I'd really like to spend around $850 because with a warranty/tax it'll come to about $1,000.

                      I want a television that's good for sports & gaming. I don't care about the wi-fi or any bells/whistles.

Is this tv a value at $600? Samsung PN51D450 51-inch 720p Plasma HDTV

If you plan on watching Blu-ray Discs then you need a 1080p capable set.

I haven't pulled the trigger yet on any tv. I believe I stated I was leaning that way. That TV is still in the mix.

I just have no idea what to do with so many options...

I also can't make the purchase until my credit card gets here. I can't pass up the $200 back
