Your spot on Sb...GREAT picture. found this over at Cnet. technically, it's not for my TV in general, but I tried it...w/ GREAT results.

Below you'll find the settings we found best for viewing the Vizio E470VL in a dark room via the HDMI input with a 1080p, film-based source. Your settings may vary depending on source, room conditions, and personal preference. Check out the Picture settings and calibration FAQ for more information.

Had my Sharp 70" 3D LCD professionally calibrated this weekend. The color accuracy and gray scale were improved a lot. One thing that surprised me and the calibrator was how good the TV was out of the box compared to most TVs he has calibrated. I did do some tweaks before he came with the Disney WOW Blu-ray but you can only adjust contrast, brightness, color, tint and sharpness with that.

As for those trying to use the calibration settings of some one else, I would not recommend it because all tvs are different. Others on the AVS Forum have posted their settings for the same TV as mine and my settings are a lot different.

Waiting for my Chase Freedom card to come in the mail and then I will jump on that Westinghouse if it's still on sale. I could go buy it today but there is a $200 cash back reward with Chase if you spend $500 in the first 3 months. That money can go towards surround sound!

Am selling my Samsung PN59D7000 on CL so that I can buy me the VT30 65 inches

I just threw in the pair of 3D glasses and a couple of 3D movies to spice up the deal. LOL

Ok so I'm going to check out the Westinghouse in store. Before I end up pulling the trigger is there any more information on the tv? 55" LCD Westinghouse

There is also a deal for a 55" Element. No idea about the brand...can anybody chime in?

                Giants4Natic,

What are you looking to pay for that TV? Site I use has it for $2,397, free shipping, and a pair of 3D glasses.

Burn in can happen on CRT monitors too if the image is there long enough.

I love our 55" Panasonic plasma we have at home. It is great and we got it for a relatively cheap price.

It's a good jump in price from the Westinghouse I've been looking at. I'm curious if the 600 Hz is a good or bad thing when playing video games. Also curious of the burn in stories...

I can't make up my freaking mind. I'll probably go scope out some TV's this weekend...
