I sit here and stare at the screen in awe how amazing it looks. I took a couple pictures with my I phone directly off the screen just to try and show how beautiful the picture is. Granted the iphone does not have the best dpi so its not nearly as good as it is in person, but it will give you a general idea.

Don't maybe go out and buy one, if you have a gaming station like I do. RUN OUT AND BUY ONE!!!!!!

Don't know about any LED beating a plasmas blacks. It maybe the camera you used to take the pics, but the colors seems little too saturated and un natural looking from these screens.

Looking for a 40 inch tv for the bedroom that has low input lag and good picture quality. Goodness!!, I wish Panasonic was still making plasmas.

Phobia got me interested in IPS monitors, especially with Newegg having a decent selection and the prices coming down. The last time I bought a monitor was my old ASUS. Anyone have any suggestions in the 140-200$(23-24") range?

I just put that Samsung Plasma in my bedroom last night. PQ out of the box is really nice in Movie Mode. The only draw back is it only has 2 HDMI ports

As for the Toshiba, I owned an LED an it served me really well for 5 years til just a few months ago when the power board went out.

Jjust remember to keep the Plasma picture within a mid range brightness to allow for the TV to Break-In.

Thanks Joe, have you played any games on the Sammy? I read the lag time are very noticeable even in game mode?

I saw this post on TV lag.

If you're dead serious about first-person shooters and other games that demand millisecond-fine responses, the last thing you want to buy is a TV that introduces lots of input lag. Especially if you're buying one to go with an Xbox One or PlayStation 4.

No gaming yet. My main gaming TV is a LED in the Family Room. I do have my 360 hooked up to the Plasma. I'll probably give it a session over the weekend. If it happens I'll report my findings

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

^I got basically same thing but bigger screen size. Works great and all and quality is the way it should be. The "SmartTV" stuff I don't like as much cause I really don't find the TV Apps to be all that great. Maybe in USA it'll be diff with more apps available and all. And the custom screen size option is ok too,but it's like a custom zoom in instead of a full manual adjust(where you can manually adjust the length and width separately). Prob won't matter to you,but to me, where some channels autosize the programs to fit their ticker down below,it would've been nice if I had an option to adjust the length so the show is regular size without the ticker).

TVs a real thin size too which is obviously great. Yes,it sounds like an obvious statement (but I've actually made this mistake in the past), but regardless of what TV you get, make sure you get a stand that'd work with your TV. Meaning it won't interfere with plugging things into the back of your TV. So it's obviously good to check the TV out and get to see how the back of it is set up,and where all the connections are in the back so you know what kind of stand would work with it. I got a swivel stand and it's great. Easy to connect stuff, looks great, and can tilt it to face any part of the room.

Thanks for the quick response. I really don't care for the Smart TV features, so the fact that it lacks this feature doesn't bother me. I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Should be here by TUESDAY

Didn't look at the page that closely, turns out it wasn't one of the smart tvs, guess that explains the price. So ya, if you don't care about smart tv function, it won't matter at all that it's not there.

Well it turns out the TV doesn't really have that 120HZ feature I was looking for so I'm going to be returning it. When I called LG, they're talking about the 120HZ is "already installed" into the tv and it scales itself up to 120HZ when needed. However, when I click info on the remote, it says 60HZ no matter what I'm watching.
