Not pretending to sound smart or aware, but I can't see a projector producing glasses-free 3D. Isn't the only way to make this happen going to be via the panel that's producing it? Unsure though.

IMO, 3D would have done much better if they had started with passive sets (with cheap universal glasses that were lightweight and don't need charging). Instead, they were bulky expensive and proprietary and had to be charged. Most people said forget it and never gave it another chance.

I use my passive 3D set almost always over setting up the 3D projector (active shutter glasses).

My eye doctor said because my left eye is a bit off centre I'm unable to get the 3D effect in movies.

Any chance the new Vizio P Series goes on sale for Black Friday? I definitely plan on getting a 4k TV by Christmas but the Vizio would be ideal!

Figuring it's regarded as one of the top 4k models on the market, I doubt it.

I'm still sitting here wondering if that is a pic you took or a photoshopped promotional pic. That looks amazing! Still sticking with the Panasonic plasma until I move into a house and can go all out with a 4K HDR projector.

Lol thanks man that's my living room. Like you, I also had a Panasonic plasma and loved it, but recently got the upgrade itch and my tv was 5 years old. That video on the screen is from a 4K YouTube video and the picture doesn't do it justice. For the first time in a long time I'm floored with how good some stuff looks. Can't wait to see how games look in HDR. 4K projectors are pretty expensive right now, but I'm sure they'll start to come down.

I'd like to quickly mention that I bought a Samsung 50' 1080p Plasma TV on Black Friday/2011 for $1000 (literally bought it on 12:01).

I was perusing thru Sam's over the weekend and saw a Samsung 55' 4K LED TV for $700.

That's just incredible to me...maybe I can snag a good sized 4K TV for around $500 this year.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.
