      That's awesome to hear! I am probably going to get the 65" Hisense for the living room this time next year. I really want DirecTV to make it more worthwhile though as we don't watch many movies in the living room and more regular tv so right now it probably wouldn't be worth it to upgrade to 4K there.

      I do game downstairs some but it's pretty much all PSVR so that makes no difference what the TV is really.......

        I watch the expendables on sat on a regular blu ray player. Let me tell you. I saw even more wrinkles and oldness on sly and Dolph than ever lol. I can only imagine how it looks on the uhd. I have only streamed some short movies on youtube so far in 4k. Will definitely be getting a better streamer though.

              @gmac0322 -

              I believe HiSense is gonna make the same run at the tv market just as Vizio has done...When I saw the 55H8Cin Costco, I was pretty impressed....Very vivid and sharp PQ....In all honesty, in that Costco 'lighting' environment, it was one of the best PQs I saw on the floor....As I mentioned in previous posts, my P-Series did not look that impressive on the Costco floor....But when I got it home...Well, its been about a week, and still blows me away with the 'inky black' levels and overall PQ...But I digress...
              Congrats on the HiSense purchase!

                        I had DirecTV come out yesterday and install a C61K box so that I could get the 4K channels. He had to run a new line but overall it went pretty well and I got the 4K channels after some waiting for the box to deliver the reset.

                        Anyways, the guy leaves and we watch a 4K tv show about space junk, which my wife absolutely loved and commented about how great it looked (I think she's starting to tell the difference in resolution at this point). After that ended we switched to The Walking Dead and I noticed every so often, about every 20 seconds, the sound would cut out for a split second. So I turned off the Dolby Digital and same thing.

                        My wife wouldn't allow me to do any more adjustments until the show was over so as not to interrupt Negans shenanigans so I read a bit more while we watched and as it turns out the C61K doesn't like HDR being turned on while watching DirecTV non-4K stuff and it causes it to get a buffer overrun.

                        The 4K stuff works fine in regards to it and no audio issues there. But on non-4K content, on a Samsung set, you will get audio drop outs every 15 seconds or so if you have UHD color turned on.

                        I went in and turned it off on HDMI 3 where the C61K was plugged in and we watched regular, non-4K tv for about an hour without any problems.

                        So if you have a Samsung 4K tv and DirecTV, make sure to turn off UHD Color (under Expert settings) if you are having any audio issues!

                        Thanks Artman because I had planned to do this anyways and having it set that way just caused problems so I see why you did it.

                        I hear you. I just never turned it on because there's nothing HDR on cable yet and I believe there were a few guys on AVSforum who suggested not to turn it on for cable tv.

                            Over-the-air 4K broadcasts are coming, but you might want to hold off at getting a new UHD set just yet. The Federal Communications Commission voted Thursday to open discussions on the deployment of a next-generation broadcast-TV standard that should offer picture quality up to 4K Ultra High Definition and better antenna reception than today’s over-the-air digital signals. Like 2009’s transition to digital TV signals, this upgrade’s primary sales pitch is about a better picture — not just high definition, but the Ultra High Definition (UHD) 4K resolution that today remains largely confined to streaming-video services and Blu-ray discs.

                                I have optimum, but you don't need it for directv either. That's only for HDR and I don't see that on cable or Directv any time soon.
