There was some sort of compatibility issue with that model of Roku and that model of sound bar, where it somehow interfered with the ARC connection between the TV and sound bar.

Got a different model sound bar and all is well.

Thinking of giving Samsung another chance and getting the S95C. I never learn lol. Already have the C2 and I’m hearing the G3 is brighter but the color volume is the same, but I’m also reading the QD-Oleds are prone to a lot more burn in than the Woleds. I have 3 Oleds at home and never had any issues with them as far as burn in. Any suggestions?

Looking for a 55" for the office to use with the PS5. What is the least expensive TV I can buy now that has HDMI 2.1? Is it that important to get one with 2.1 or could I get away without it and nearly get the same experience? I am on a tight budget now this is not going to be the go to 4k unit down the road but I need to upgrade for the new console just don't wanna break the bank. TCL Hisense or something else?

Well Samsung, like Sony use LG panels. The biggest issue with Samsung is their software updates and software in general. Me personally, I always preferred Sony OLEDs over LG OLEDs, better software and accuracy out of the box, plus they get brighter then LG. LG OLEDs are just the jack of all trades, good for gaming and movies and more importantly, more affordable to the masses compared to Sony.

              Best Buy

              TCL - 55" Class 6-Series Mini-LED QLED - $599

              2 HDMI 2.1 ports
              Full array local dimming
              120HZ
              HDR Compatible

              Hisense - 55" Class U8H Series Mini LED Quantum ULED 4K - $699

              2 HDMI 2.1 ports
              Full array local dimming
              120HZ
Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, HDR 10, Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG)
FreeSync Premium Pro (AMD Adaptive Sync)

So as you can see, Hisense is the better option of the 2.

This is precisely why I stay away from Samsung in general. Their updates and software usually ruins the tv down the line and hurts it. Sony is good but overpriced and usually not too good for gaming.

Samsung uses their own QD-OLED panels, not LG.

They just signed a deal to buy 10 million LG panels for the next several years.

What is Samsung doing? I guess they will have 2 different OLED tv types and add further confusion to their product offerings.

So Upset, I have a thin white vertical line going down the right side of my LG CX that only has about 6000 hrs on it. Just came like 2 weeks ago, you don't see it on a black screen, you can't really see when watching movies and TV, but it's there. Anyway to get rid of ot or am I screwed?

Not saying it'll be worth it, but sometimes that means you only have to replace a part rather than buying an entirely new television.

Unfortunately, that part may mean a new panel. Sometimes these lines come for other reasons in the connectors though, none of which I understand a lick about.

Few options to try. Panel refresh or something like that in the menu. It forces a led to cycle through colors and could fix stuck ones. Then power down, remove power cord and all other inputs, and give it overnight to drain any capacitors. Then if that doesn't work you will most likely need a new TV or panel, I would demand a new TV or starting the warranty over as once its opened the service techs damage too many small parts or connections on TVs that aren't made to be taken apart.

Yeah, I did all the above. But the warranty has expired, so I think I’m screwed
