I had the 79 inch 4k tv with the evolution kit. They provided 1 updated kit, then they abandoned it. I thought it was such a great idea and I was really disappointed they walked away from it.

Yeah, can only do so much replacing the brain with as quick as display technology has changed over the last decade.

Got my QN90B up... and I've got an artifact. Did a bunch of inane troubleshooting over chat w/ Samsung and they have to send someone out.

Was so careful putting it up, making sure we didn't put any pressure on the screen, and this is on the side I was holding, so know for certain it's not that.

I'd just return it unless it's too big to realistically get back, or they won't come pick it up. I seriously doubt it was from you holding too hard. If that could happen it would be a lot more common with people who aren't careful.

Yeah, at AVS they said it looks like a bad case of dirty screen effect, but regardless it's clearly a manufacturer defect.

Samsung has a local resource coming out within the next day or two to diagnose/fix.

It's an 85" monster, last thing I want to do is try and pack it all back up again, but if that's what needs to be done it will be, not paying this much for a TV regardless of the deal I got and tolerating that.

Do you all normally keep your boxes?

I usually do for my electronics. I still have the C2 box, but I'm not sure I could ever actually get it back in there if I needed to.

I do for a short while usually. This 85" box though is on a whole another level.

Yeah, I try to hold on to them through the period I can take the item back.

I'd keep it if you plan on moving at any point in the TVs lifespan. Otherwise toss it after the return period. Any LG warranty repairs I believe would be done in person.

Following up on my bad QN90B, they can't get the parts so replacing the whole thing, and the shipping company delivering the new one is responsible for boxing and removing the original. Yay.

Welp, the 85inch 8K Samsung has been returned today and I just ordered the LG OLED 77 inch C2 tv as the replacement.

The Samsung looked incredible when watching 8K programs on Youtube, however I was not completely happy with it and Scott's recommendation was constantly sitting on the back of my mind. So, Im getting the C2 and not looking back.

The box for an 85 inch tv is insanely big. They had to take the tv out of the box to get it into the basement. Damn thing is almost as big as our king size bed.

I trust your opinion greatly and wish I would have went with the C2 to begin with.

I have the same 77c2 in my man cave and like you also returned the Samsung S95B a while back. I stay as far as possible from Samsung TVs. The C2 is great!
